Pakistani actress, Madiha Imam a year back got hitched to an Indian man, Moji Basar. The actress in a recent interview talked about the scrutiny she faced for marrying an Indian being a Pakistani.
Pakistani actress, Syeda Madiha Imam, is a popular name in her country’s showbiz industry. She has cemented her name in Lollywood with her roles in popular dramas such as Ishq Jalebi, Dil-E-Momin, Mera Rab Waris, Nazar Kay Samnay, Chauraha, and more. She has also been a part of the Bollywood film, Dear Maya alongside Manisha Koirala and Rohit Saraf. Madiha got hitched to the love of her life, Moji Basar, a resident of India, in 2023.
Recently, Madiha Imam appeared on Fushsia magazine's podcast, Gupshup, where she shared that many of her fellow countrymen blame her for marrying an Indian man, Moji Basar. To this, she added that some things are beyond our control. God planned this for her, or else who could have imagined that she would marry an Indian.
Madiha and Moji tied the knot in May 2023 in Dubai. The couple then held a grand reception in October 2023. Moreover, Madiha is a few years older than Moji. However, all these obstacles never became a hindrance in their relationship, and everything panned out beautifully. So, it's with God's blessing that she married Moji.
On May 3, 2023, Syeda Madiha Imam shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram account, announcing her union with Moji Basar. The actress, in a simple yet elegant red lehenga, and the groom, in a cream-coloured sherwani, embarked on a new journey. She captioned her post as:
"Married 1-5-2023. Remember us in your prayers as we embark on this new chapter of our lives."
Later, on October 26, 2023, the newlyweds held their wedding reception in Dubai. Madiha wore a gorgeous and heavily embellished dress by HSY for the event. She accessorised her look with a heavy golden and green-hued jewellery set. On the other hand, Moji chose to wear a black tuxedo with a white shirt underneath.
Madiha Imam came to India to shoot a film and crossed paths with Moji, who was interning with the same production house. The actress really liked him and was attracted to his dedication to his craft. The duo then connected over a period of time, eventually falling in love and soon deciding to tie the knot.
"I went to do a Bollywood film back in 2015-16, after my film studies, and there my now-husband was an intern in the production team. I found him very cute and hardworking, and I love those people who work hard and are also good-looking. So I was single and totally crushing over him."
