Popular Pakistani actress, Ushna Shah recently shared a video of Indian actor-singer, Diljit Dosanjh after she was impressed by his humble beginnings and rise to massive stardom.
Diljit Dosanjh has become a popular name in the Indian entertainment industry. He has captivated audiences all across the world not only with his amazing vocal prowess but also with his power-packed and versatile acting stints. For those who don’t know, Diljit started his musical journey in the early 2000s and ventured into acting with the 2011 Punjabi-language film, The Lion Of Punjab.
Moreover, he debuted in Bollywood in 2016 with the Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer film, Udta Punjab, and since then, he has never looked back. More recently, people from all around the world have been appreciating his latest performance in and as ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’. Diljit even received praise from our neighbouring country, Pakistan.

Recently, Pakistani actress, Ushna Shah reshared a video on her Instagram stories featuring the Indian singer-turned-actor, Diljit Dosanjh. In the video, the latter was seen performing at a local concert wearing a blue-coloured Punjabi tamba and kurta paired with yellow jacket. Diljit was seen dancing and singing on a stage. The social media user, who uploaded the, wrote a special text at the beginning of the video:
“When you remember watching Diljit’s concert at a Mela as a child.”
The next part of the clip featured Diljit’s recent performance in Vancouver, which took place on April 27, 2024. The singer made history by becoming the first Punjabi artist to sell out Vancouver’s BC Place Stadium for his Dil-Luminati tour. In the video, Diljit was seen performing wearing various black outfits. This part of the clip was shared with the message:
“To witnessing him make history and selling out a 50K person arena.”

Ushna Shah, known in Lollywood for being vocal about her thoughts, reshared the video with a heartfelt note atop it. The Pakistani actress mentioned that the Indian singer, Diljit Dosanjh's success story made her really happy. Hence, to celebrate such a remarkable feat, she decided to share it with fans and followers. The same video has garnered over 577K views.
During his performance in Mumbai on April 13, 2024, Diljit talked about breaking stereotypes surrounding Punjabis. He mentioned that the general public does not consider Punjabis fashionable, but he proved otherwise. Further talking about how he broke such stereotypes, Diljit said:
“They said Punjabis aren’t fashionable and I said, I will show you. They said Punjabis can’t act in films, I showed them I could. They said Punjabis can’t go to Mumbai, and I proved them wrong. They said Punjabis can’t sell tickets for the bar arena, I had the stadium packed at my concert. They said Punjabis can’t do Illuminati, I said, I will do ‘Dil-Luminati.”
