As per multiple reports, Pakistani javelin thrower, Arshad Nadeem was about to get a Suzuki Alto from a businessman. However, his fans are immensely dissatisfied due to the same.
Pakistani javelin thrower, Arshad Nadeem, brought his home country again to the Olympic map by winning gold in the men's javelin finale round. At the Paris Olympics 2024, he knocked down India's Neeraj Chopra into second place and created history. Moreover, he also became Pakistan's first Olympic medalist in athletics with his record-breaking 92.97 metre javelin throw in Paris.
Thus, ever since Arshad Nadeem's return to Pakistan, it has been a moment of celebration for his millions of fans. Amid all this, a Pakistani-American businessman, Ali Sheikhani, reportedly decided to gift the javelin star a Suzuki Alto. An activist in Pakistan, Syed Zafar Abbas Jafri, reported that the Pakistani-American businessman will be gifting the javelin champion a "brand new Alto car."

However, Arshad Nadeem's fans dissatisfied with the same, started hugely mocking the Pakistani-American businessman on social media. Soon, the topic began trending on the internet, and Arshad's fans believed that the javelin star was worthy of something much more expensive than the Suzuki Alto, which costs Pakistani Rupees 23.31 lakh and Indian rupees a little over 7 lakh.
Taking to the X handle, one social media user commented, "This is an Insult .. he deserves BMW or Audi." Another one penned, "Hamare yaha gharpe baithe nalle berozgar bhi Alto na le gift me." A third comment read "Alto??? Why? Could not find anything cheaper?!? It is your first Gold! Get something worthy of it!"
Coming to Arshad Nadeem's personal life, the 27-year-old javelin star is married to Ayesha Nadeem, and the couple is blessed with three children. Moreover, talking about his origin, he hailed from a poor family of eight children in Khanewal in Pakistan's Punjab. Hailing from the rural area of his village and being born in a non-cricket athlete family, Nadeem had very limited means to train and travel abroad for competitions. Once, in a post on his social media platform X, he said:
"This gold medal is a gift from me to the entire nation on the occasion of Independence Day (on Aug. 14, 2024)."

After his triumph at the Paris Olympics 2024, Arshad Nadeem's father-in-law. Muhammad Nawaz gifted him a buffalo. Nawaz also revealed the importance of his gift to his son-in-law. Moreover, talking about how Arshad is connected to his roots, Nawaz said to the local media in Nadeem's village:
"Nadeem also takes great pride in his roots and despite the success, his home still remains his village and he still lives with his parents and brothers. When we decided to marry our daughter to Nadeem six years back, at that time he used to do small jobs and run errands but was extremely passionate about his sport and constantly practised throwing the javelin at home and in the fields."
