Love has no boundaries as it is the purest form of emotion. Even though India and Pakistan share a turbulent relationship, love across the border is nothing new. Over the years, several Indian celebs have found love in the arms of some of the well-known names in the Pakistani glamour, sports and business worlds.
Not only these celebs fell head-over-heels in love with one another but they also never tried to hide their relationship. Some of these relationships culminated in marriage and others parted ways. However, their fondness for one another proved that love knows no language and cannot be tamed. Let’s take a look at some of the popular Indian celebs, who found love in Pakistani stars.

Indian Tennis sensation, Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik dared to blur the geographical lines between the two countries when they decided to get married. Shoaib and Sania met at a restaurant for the first time, and after that, Shoaib paid a visit to one of Sania’s Tennis matches. Rumours sparked soon and lead to a lot of controversy.
After a lot of hurdles, Sania and Shoaib said qubool hai on April 12, 2010. On October 30, 2018, the star couple embraced parenthood and welcomed a baby boy, whom they have lovingly named Izhaan Mirza Malik. However, for the past few days, there have been reports that everything is not fine in Sania and Shoaib’s marital life and the duo is heading for a divorce.
One of the biggest stars of Bollywood, Salman Khan enjoys a huge female fan following since the beginning of his career. His name has been associated with many leading ladies of Bollywood, but, his affair with Pakistani actress, Somy Ali has always garnered attention.
Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Somy Ali had a teenage crush on actor Salman Khan. Inspired by Salman, Somy had convinced her parents to allow her to move to India. She appeared in ten Hindi films from 1991 to 1998 as a lead heroine. Somy was in a relationship with Salman for eight years. Somy Ali and Salman Khan broke up after he started dating Aishwarya Rai. Somy had officially revealed the same in many interviews.
The handsome former Pakistani cricketer, Wasim Akram and the former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen were once madly in love with each other. The duo had met on the sets of the show, Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, in 2008. Wasim was married to Huma at that time, but after her death in 2009, he came closer to Sushmita.
It was also reported that Wasim and Sushmita were planning to tie the knot. After a lot of rumours, the diva herself clarified the reports and called it rubbish in an official statement.
The former Pakistani cricketer and politician, Imran Khan was earlier known as the hedonistic bachelor, who dated many beauties across the globe. Amid his many affairs, his name was associated with some Indian celebs too. One among them was Zeenat Aman. It was in the 1970s, when the Pakistani cricket team was touring in India, Imran met the Bollywood actress, Zeenat.

Soon, love bloomed, and the two gorgeous-looking celebs started dating each other. However, things didn’t work out between the two, and they called it quits. Zeenat went on to marry actor, Mazhar Khan and Imran got married thrice. Years later, when Zeenat was asked about her affair with Imran Khan, she called it a thing of the past.
Pakistani actress, Veena Malik made a sensational entry in the Indian reality show, Bigg Boss season 4. She met actor, Ashmit Patel inside the BB house and the two fell in love. Veena and Ashmit were the hottest couple of the season and shared a lot of mushy PDA moments in the show.
As the show ended, their chemistry started declining, and the couple also had an ugly spat, where they publicly shamed each other and parted ways.
Popular filmmaker, Imtiaz Ali, is hailed for his blockbuster films like Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar, Highway and Tamasha. Imtiaz got married to Preety Ali in 1995, and the couple has a daughter named, Ida Ali. But due to some differences, Imtiaz and Preety ended their marriage in 2012.
After his separation, Imtiaz found love in Pakistani model and actress, Iman Ali. The two were so much in love that they visited Delhi’s Nizamuddin dargah together before the release of his superhit film, Rockstar. However, after two years of courtship, Imtiaz and Iman broke up and moved on.
The gorgeous Bollywood actress, Reena Roy fell in love with Pakistani cricketer, Mohsin Khan. After dating for a while, Reena and Mohsin tied the knot in 1983 in a private ceremony in Karachi, Pakistan. They have a daughter named, Sanam Khan. Reena was at the peak of her career when she married Mohsin and left Bollywood.
Using Reena’s connections in Bollywood, Mohsin appeared in some Bollywood films like Saathi and Batwara. Mohsin wanted to settle in England, but Reena was against the idea, which led to differences between them and the duo ended their marriage in the 1990s.
The beautiful actress, Amrita Singh is known for her girl next door image. With some stellar films like Ishq Vishk, Vivah, Main Hoon Na, Jolly LLB and many more, Amrita ruled the 2000s of the Hindi film industry. She met the lead vocalist of the Jal band, Farhan Saeed in 2008 and the duo fell in love.
Amrita was shooting for a music video when she met Farhan for the first time and during the process, the two bonded and eventually fell in love. The lovebirds spent quality time whenever Farhan visited Mumbai. But after some time, Amrita and Farhan called it quits.

Former Pakistani cricketer and commentator, Shoaib Akhtar’s love for Bollywood beauty, Sonali Bendre was known to his team members. The cricketer was quite open about his crush on the gorgeous actress and had even stated that he would do anything for her.

Bollywood actress, Amrita Arora and Pakistani cricketer, Usman Afzaal were in a serious relationship with each other and dated for four years. The duo never hid their relationship and were vocal about their love for one another. In one of the throwback interviews, Amrita stated:

Pakistani actress, Sonya Rizvi, better known as Sonya Jehan is the granddaughter of legendary singer, Noor Jehan. She was also seen in the Indian film, My Name Is Khan, starring Shah Rukh Khan. The gorgeous actress fell in love with an Indian banker, Vivek Narain.

After a month of their meeting, Faisal popped up the question, and she kept him waiting for some time and finally said 'yes'. They soon tied the knot and are leading a happy life now.
The handsome former Pakistani cricketer couldn’t help but fall for the charms of Bollywood diva Rekha. In a newspaper print from the year 1985, a report claimed that Imran Khan was all set to get married to Rekha.
The same report also revealed that Imran had spent quality time with Rekha in Mumbai for a month and the two were often spotted near the beaches. The article also stated that the rumoured couple seemed close and that they loved each other deeply and passionately. Even Rekha’s mother was very happy with their relationship. However, the duo never culminated their relationship into marriage.
