In a recent interview, Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy opened up about their parenthood journey.
Popular actress, Pankhuri Awasthy embraced motherhood for the first time with the arrival of her twin babies, a boy and a girl, on July 25, 2023. The actress and her husband, Gautam Rode, who got married in 2018, have hopped onto their parenthood journey almost after five years of marital bliss. Now, in a recent interview, the duo opened up about their happiness over the same.
In an interview with ETimes, Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy expressed their delight as they are now parents to twins, a baby girl and a baby boy. Talking about the same, the actor revealed that their babies were born via C-section delivery at a suburban nursing home in Mumbai and added:
"We are blessed... I have no words to express my joy. The delivery was a C-section, but everything went well. Our family is complete now, we have a girl and a boy."

Further in the interview, the actor shared who their twins resemble and revealed how everyone in the family is thrilled about the arrival of their little bundles of joy in their lives. Gautam said that both the babies and the mother are doing well and that the feeling of becoming a father is slowly sinking in. Expressing his excitement for the new journey ahead, Gautam said:
"Some of our relatives are saying that our son looks like me, while our daughter looks like Pankhuri. Actually, it's too early to tell. I am just happy and glad that the babies are fine and the mother is doing well. The feeling of becoming a father is slowly sinking in. Yes, I am ready for some sleepless nights now. I am looking forward to this beautiful journey ahead."
Meanwhile, Pankhuri Awashthy, who was sitting with him during the conversation, revealed that she is extremely happy to have become parents. The new mommy added that she has always wanted twin babies and now her family is complete. In her words:
"We are blessed and extremely happy to have become parents. Gautam and I are excited about this new phase in our lives. I always wanted twin babies and now our family is complete."

For the unversed, it was on July 26, 2023, Pankhuri Awasthy shared the good news of the arrival of her twin babies with her fans on her IG handle. Sharing a picture note, the new mommy revealed that she and her husband, Gautam Rode, were blessed with a baby boy and a baby girl on July 25, 2023. Expressing their joy about becoming parents for the first time, the newbie parents penned a heartfelt note to announce the arrival of their little munchkins. The message on the picture could be read as:
"Twice blessed. We have been blessed with a baby boy and a baby girl. Arrived July 25th 2023. Hearts brimming with joy and gratitude. We joyously announce the start of our journey of a family of four. Thankful for all the love and blessings. Gautam and Pankhuri."
