Amid speculations of a hushed wedding today, Parambrata Chatterjee drops first pictures of his intimate court marriage with Piya Chakraborty.
Talented actor, Parambrata Chatterjee has been grabbing all the attention for a couple of days, after speculations about his marriage with long-time partner, Piya Chakraborty have surfaced on the internet. In fact, a few hours back, there were strong rumours that the duo might get hitched today in an intimate celebration attended by their close friends and family. And now, confirming it all, Parambrata dropped love-filled glimpses of his registered marriage with Piya.
Taking to his IG handle on November 27, 2023, Parambrata Chatterjee dropped mesmerising glimpses from his intimate registered wedding at home with Piya Chatterjee. In the glimpses, the lovely couple were seen sitting on a sofa at their residence as they signed the official documents for their marriage. Ditching all the glitz and glam, Param and Piya opted for a happy celebration of their union.

For their special day, Parambrata wore an orange-hued kurta, teamed with white pyjamas and a sap green-hued Nehru jacket. Piya, on the other hand, wore a white saree, featuring exquisite embroidery in red. She teamed it with a red-hued blouse featuring traditional prints. Layered gold neckpieces, shankha-pola and a small maroon bindi accentuated her look. Along with the pictures, Param penned a beautiful note from one of T.S. Eliot’s poem, The Love Song Of J Alfred Prufrock, the actor wrote:
“Let us go then, you and I When the evening is spread out against the sky… This is it.”
For the unversed, Piya was previously married to eminent singer, Anupam Roy. The duo got married in 2015. However, after a few years, there was strong speculations of a crack arising in their relationship, and it was even speculated that Parambrata was the reason behind it. While initially the duo shunned away such rumours, it was finally on November 11, 2023, when the duo announced their divorce jointly.

For the unversed, Parambrata, was for the longest time, counted among the most eligible bachelors in Bengali cinema. Interestingly, before tying the knot with Piya, he had been in a few relationships before. Initially, he dated the talented actress, Swastika Mukherjee. The duo fell in love while shooting a film together. However, their affair was short-lived, and they broke up some time later. After that, Parambrata was said to be in a long-distance relationship with his Netherland-based girlfriend, Ike Schouten. The duo dated for long before calling it quits in 2020.
