In a recent interview, Parineeti Chopra talked about her life post-marriage with Raghav Chadha. She shared how her husband reacted when he got to know about her role in 'Amar Singh Chamkila'.
Imtiaz Ali’s film, Amar Singh Chamkila, has been receiving much appreciation from the audience for its gripping storyline, and amazing cinematography. The Netflix film stars Diljit Dosanjh as the late Punjabi singer, ‘Chamkila’ and Parineeti Chopra as the singer’s second wife, ‘Amarjot Kaur’. Both leads have been making waves in the industry with their impeccable and stellar performances in the film. Moreover, Parineeti received an overwhelming response from her fans and followers after her stint in the film.
Recently, during an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actress opened up about different aspects of her life, including her latest release, Amar Singh Chamkila, and her married life. For those who don’t know, Parineeti is married to Raghav Chadha, who is the youngest member of the Parliament. The host congratulated the actress on her wedding and asked how her married life has been going. To this, Parineeti said:
“Married life is very cute, I love it. I don’t feel like some big shift has happened in my life I feel like I'm with my buddy and he happens to be my husband that's how I feel, but I'm very happy right.”

Further, the host asked about her family’s reactions to her role as ‘Amarjot Kaur’ in the film. Parineeti recalled that she met with her husband, Raghav when she was shooting for the film, and being a Punjabi, the parliamentarian knew a lot of the late singer, Chamkila. The actress added that her husband was confident that the film would be a hit. In her words:
“Raghav met me at the time when I was shooting the film and he being a Punjabi, of course, knew so much about Chamkila and Amarjot and he always used to say 'My God you're doing this film it's going to be a big hit' and I always used to say you know please don't jinx it I hope so.”
Parineeti also revealed her family’s reaction and said that her family could not believe that the lead actors sang all the songs live on set and did not do it in a dubbing studio. She said that her parents were very happy after the release of her film. Parineeti further explained how live singing and dubbing in films are different. She said that while dubbing, one goes to a studio to record and can rectify the mistakes, whereas, during live singing, the original voice shot in the scenes is used.

During the same conversation, Parineeti mentioned that her PR game is not good. The actress shared that she skips participating in dinners and lunches where good work opportunities are created. Parineeti said that she is bad at creating unnecessary relationships. Sharing how she is a hardworking person, the actress said:
“I'm very bad at PR, I'm very bad at being in the right places, at the right lunches and dinners where these work opportunities are created, projects are created at these events and I'm not at those events. I'm a self-proclaimed liver of life I want to work, but I also spend a lot of time with my family. I'm very bad at creating relationships which are unnecessary. I'm a person who is like ‘Main bohot mehnat karungi, main acting karungi, aap mujhe accha kaam do’. I have accepted that my PR game is very bad, in fact, I hope Chamkila and I hope interviews like this can spread the word that I might be bad at PR, but I'm good at my work, and I hope directors and producers who are not reaching out to me reach out to me.”
