After Virat Kohli lashed out at a journalist after he thought his kids were being filmed, he was tagged as a 'bully' by another Australian reporter.
Virat Kohli, apart from being a tremendous cricketer, is also a doting father to his kids, Vamika and Akaay. Virat got married to Anushka in 2017, and in 2021, they welcomed Vamika, while their family got completed with the arrival of Akaay. Well, Virat and Anushka are protective of parents, and they have made it clear that no one can breach their and the kids' privacy by clicking the little ones' photos.
Over the years, we have seen Virat and Anushka being furious if someone would try to click the kids' photos, and eventually, the paps started respecting what they requested. Meanwhile, a few days ago, Virat confronted a journalist, as he misunderstood that his kids were being filmed. Now, he got called out for the same. Recently, an Australian reporter of Nine Sports, Tony Jones talked on the radio channel 3AW Melbourne, wherein he stated that Virat took umbrage at the fact that the cameras are always focused on him, which is pretty expected, given he is a batting superstar. Tony Jones mentioned that Virat actually takes offence if he is being clicked. Explaining what happened, Tony Jones stated:
"Nat was out there with a cameraman, a Channel 7 reporter was out there with his cameraman and they were doing what we do on a daily basis essentially, and that’s be at the airport to actually get identities, whether they’re politicians, whether they’re sporting identities or whatever. He took umbrage, he being Virat Kohli, to the fact the cameras were focused on him. Well duh! You’re a batting superstar, you’re a global superstar in the world of cricket, and he takes umbrage to the fact that the attention is focused on him."
Tony Jones revealed being surprised by the fact that how Virat at the airport confronted the journalist, who was with two cameramen. Tony Jones stated how surprising it was when the female journalist Nat Yoannidis was confronted and berated by Kohli. He called Virat a bully and shared:
"What really got my back up when I saw the footage was that he turned around to the three blokes, the two cameramen and the reporter from Channel 7, and said you guys are OK, it’s her. Really? Big tough man, Virat. And then he stood over this girl, Nat Yoannidis, who’s about five foot one, five foot two, and just absolutely berated her. You’re nothing but a bully, Virat."
