'Pasoori' Singer, Ali Sethi Gives A Befitting Reply To Reports Of His Wedding With Beau, Salman Toor

Pakistani singer, Ali Sethi opened up about the reports of his marriage to his boyfriend, Salman Toor.

Pakistani singer, Ali Sethi has been leading all the headlines after reports of his marriage with his rumoured beau, Salman Toor surfaced in the media. A report in Pinkvilla stated that Ali got married to his long-time rumoured boyfriend, Salman Toor in a hush-hush wedding ceremony in New York.

And now, the Pasoori singer broke his silence on the same and reacted to the reports. Taking to his IG stories, Ali Sethi penned a note, giving a befitting response to the reports of his marriage to Salman, Toor, who is a painter by profession. His note can be read as:

“I am not married, I don’t know who started the rumour.”

Ali reportedly met Salman for the first time at Aitchison College and soon became friends. In an interview with New Yorker, Ali talked about his first encounter with Salman and revealed how he used to protect him. Elaborating on the same, Ali stated:

“He (Salman Toor) was the most vulnerable one, because he didn’t have any defense mechanisms. I was the tallest person in the class, I was a teacher-pleaser, but Salman was guileless. When boys made fun of him, he couldn’t fight back.”

When Ali Sethi talked about the LGBTQ community

Ali Sethi is one of the few Pakistani artists who openly came out as gay. Talking about the LGBTQ community and why they need to be recognized, the singer shared:

“There’s a lot of homophobia in Pakistan, and it’s getting worse. I’m one of the only out queer people in the public eye, so I feel a responsibility to be visible. I want people to know that we exist, and we’re just like them."
