After 11 days in jail, Pearl V Puri has been granted bail by the Vasai court in rape and molestation case. Details inside!
Pearl V Puri was arrested by Waliv police on June 4, 2021, under the allegation of rape and molestation. The nation and his industry friends were in utter shock and had come out in open. With every other day, new theories had started pouring out with the alleged victim's father and coming out with shocking statements.

For the unversed, according to a report by ANI, Pearl was arrested under Section 376 of the IPC & POCSO Act. Mumbai Police was quoted as saying, “Television actor, Pearl Puri has been arrested by Waliv and Mumbai police. He was arrested in connection with the rape of a minor. A case has been registered under Section 376 of IPC & POCSO Act."
After being in judicial custody for 11 days, Pearl has finally been granted bail by the Vasai court on June 15, 2021. In a conversation Pearl’s lawyer, Jitesh Agarwal confirmed the news. He said, "Yes, he has been granted bail by the Vasai Sessions Court."
Earlier according to a report in SpotboyE, the minor’s father had shared an official statement, narrating the horror his child had faced. He had stated that his daughter was living with her mother and he hadn’t seen her in 5 months. One day when he had gone to her school to pay the fee, his daughter had requested him to allow her to stay with him as she was scared. It was also reported that the minor was 5-year-old when the incident had happened.

The minor’s father had also revealed that when he had asked the accused’s name, the girl had taken the name ‘Ragbir’, which was Pearl V Puri’s on-screen name in the popular show, Bepanah Pyaarr. During the investigation, police had shown the girl many television actors and was asked numerous questions after which it was verified that the accused is Pearl.
On June 8, 2021, the alleged victim’s mother and actress, Ekta Sharma had reacted to the case and had shared that her silence is not a sign of weakness. Demanding fair judgement, she had written on her IG handle, “A lot of people are calling and asking me to come to the media and speak. My silence should not be construed as my weakness. My respect and faith in the judiciary has made me take this step."
Ekta had also expressed her disappointment on how some people had revealed her daughter’s identity, allowing others to pass abusive comments. She had added, "Many people have choose to ridicule me and my daughter in public which is not permissible by law. Publicising a victims name in public is a offence."
