On June 8, 2021, the victim's mother and actress Ekta Sharma took to her Instagram handle, reacted to the ongoing case, and revealed her stand. My respect and faith in the judiciary has made me take this step."
Going further in her note, Ekta Sharma also stated that she's utterly disappointed to see that some people have revealed her daughter's identity and are passing wrong and abusive comments to her. The mother penned in her note and wrote, "Many people have choose to ridicule me and my daughter in public which is not permissible by law. Publicising a victims name in public is a offence." Ekta Sharma also added that the prime reason behind her silence was the fact it's her husband, Anil Donde, who had filed the case.
