Prime Minister, Narendra Modi created history with the consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir in his birthplace, Ayodhya, after many decades.
It is a historical moment as the entire nation is bathing in saffron and hailing 'Jai Shree Ram', all thanks to the efforts of many Ram bhakts, including Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. With nearly 400 pillars, 44 doors and a mesmerising idol of Lord Ram, the country witnessed the homecoming of their God after 500 years on January 22, 2024. Several religious figures, politicians and Bollywood celebrities marked their presence and awaited the mukh darshan of Ram Lalla.
Narendra Modi dreamt of this day for many years and he had pledged that he would return to Ayodhya after he will built the temple of Lord Ram. After the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, PM Modi expressed his thought and apologised to Lord Shri Ram for not being able to fulfil the work of his temple for so many centuries. He added that he believes Lord Ram has forgive us all. He was quoted as saying:
"Today, I also apologise to Lord Shri Ram. There must be something lacking in our effort, sacrifice and penance that we could not do this work for so many centuries. Today the work has been completed. I believe that Lord Shri Ram will definitely forgive us today."
