Bollywood actress, Pooja Bhatt rose to fame with her debut film, Daddy, in 1989. Everyone was sure that Pooja was the next big thing in the Bhatt family. She was called the rising star, but her life choices diverged her from the main path. Once in a media interaction, Pooja had revealed how she had refused to star in her father, Mahesh Bhatt's iconic film because of her then-boyfriend.
For the unversed, Pooja Bhatt is the eldest daughter of the film director, Mahesh Bhatt and his first wife, Kiran Kher. The gorgeousness was born on February 27, 1972, in Mumbai. The actress had tasted success at the age of seventeen. However, her love choices diverted her from her acting career, and Pooja had once talked about it openly.

Back in 2015, at an event, Pooja had talked about declining her father, Mahesh's film, Aashiqui and the reason was her then-boyfriend with whom she broke up. The actress had shared that she had refused the role as her then-boyfriend did not want her to be an actress, and he was quite blunt about it. He had told Pooka that he did not want to marry an actress and she should drop her career. Pooja had said:
"I had a boyfriend and I was in love with him since I was 12-year-old. When I was 16, I started dating him. At 17 I did Daddy and at 18 I was offered Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin. So he very patiently went through the phase of my first film and said 'If you want to marry me, drop movie offers as I'll never marry an actor."
Pooja had further shared that being a romantic person, she had straight away decided to part ways from her acting career. She had revealed:
"Being a romantic person, I said I'll do anything for love. Then Mukeshji (Mukesh Bhatt) came to my house with signing amount for the role, but I refused the offer. He called my father and asked him to make me understand. But I never agreed to do it. And then my relationship ended with that person, though he still is a very dear friend of mine. But then life took over. So now I think I should have done the film."

For the unversed, a sequel of the 1990 film, which was titled Aashiqui 2 was released in the year 2013. However, Pooja had made her comeback with the drama series, Bombay Begum!
