Baahubali franchise's titular hero, Bahubali and on-screen wife, Devasena, played by Prabhas and Anushka Shetty respectively, have been the centre of many entertainment portals. After their perfect and sizzling chemistry in the movie, everyone started speculating their marriage. Apart from the breathtaking location and views of the movie, another thing that attracted the audience was the perfect husband and wife pair that the fans saw on the celluloid. This movie gave us a new heartthrob to obsess about and people are crazy to know about the love life of their Bahubali.
There was a buzz about Prabhas is dating his co-star from the movie, Anushka and the two are getting engaged in December. But the recent developments suggest that there is nothing between Prabhas and Anushka. According to Pinkvilla, Anushka can be quoted as saying, "We are just very good friends. And there’s nothing between Prabhas and me except friendship. We are definitely not getting married." That will really make millions of fans sad, right? Earlier, there were reports that the couple is getting engaged. In an interaction with a leading web portal, Telugu superstar Prabhas opened about his relationship and rumours about the engagement. He said, “I do not want to reveal my private life. Many people ask me if I have affairs and the issue of marriage crops up invariably. But, these people should understand me. Don’t ask me about my marriage. It looks very superficial. I want my life to be private. But, when I marry, I shall tell everyone about it.”
And now, in a recent event, Anushka was asked about her long-awaited rumoured marriage with Prabhas. To this, she quipped, "Prabhas and I are not getting married. Please do not expect Baahubali and Devasena like chemistry in real life. It is only for the screen."
Recently, during a media interaction, Anushka talked about marriage. As per Cinestaan, she was quoted as saying, "There is no truth in rumours doing the rounds that my parents are compelling me to get married. First, we have to find a good person. If I like him, then, the wedding will take place. I will invite friends, family, fans and well-wishers and will get married before them with their blessings."
There is no doubt that they both look lovely together and have won hearts with their sizzling on-screen chemistry. The actors are very possessive about their personal lives and don't want to reveal anything about it.
Prabhas had earlier said, "When we first worked together we had decided that at no cost we would allow rumours of our linkup float around. We have been film friends for nine years now. We are very good friends. We have known each other for years but I admit sometimes when such stories start doing the rounds, then I too start wondering if there is, indeed, something between us."
Talking about their professional lives, Anushka will next be seen in Bhaagamathie. Talking about her role in the film in which she will be playing an IAS officer, she remarked, "A few have misconstrued it as a ghost movie with a reincarnation theme. But it is a contemporary thriller and she is only a fictitious character. I play an IAS officer Sanjana, which is one of the most thought-provoking characters I have ever done. There was plenty of scope for performance, thanks to director Ashok garu who waited for me with the script from 2012. I am not playing a double role, but the central character has many dimensions to her.
