Even though Nayanthara now is happily married to filmmaker, Vignesh Shivan her relationship with Prabhu Deva was back in 2009. Their love story was the most talked about once upon a time. However, do you know that their relationship had ended abruptly as Nayanthara refused to put an end to her flourishing career which was Prabhu Deva's demand?
Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara's relationship buzz started doing rounds when they first started working on the movie, Villu together. What looked like a fairytale romance ended up in an abrupt breakup and their fans did wonder what was the reason for their breakup. According to a report by the Times Of India, Prabhu Deva had many conditions for Nayanthara before he could take the plunge and marry her. She had agreed to convert to Hinduism and also accept his kids from his first marriage which would always be his priority. He also wanted Nayanthara to quit acting post getting married. Despite having many discussions, she refused to give up on her career as she was at her peak, which reportedly increased the tensions between the duo.
Nayanthara and Prabhu Deva used to have a lot of arguments as she was headstrong about not giving up her career, and due to this, they then decided to part ways. Nayanthara did have a pain-filled breakup, but then, after finding love in Vignesh, she rose to more fame and also became one of the top actresses in the entertainment industry. Prabhu Deva had then moved on and got married to a doctor called Himani Singh. His and Nayanthara's breakup had opened up new avenues in the lives of both.
Before Nayanthara met Prabhu Deva she was in a relationship with Simbu. It was on the sets of Vallavan when their love had bloomed, and they had even been abroad together. However, things took a weird turn when their private snaps leaked, and it was reportedly done from Simbu's side. It was during that time Nayanthara met Prabhu Deva and their bond had become very strong. They had kept their relationship private for the longest time, but soon, when they started attending public events together, they made their love story official. Prabhu Deva, for Nayanthara, had even gotten separated from his first wife, Ramlath, to whom he was married for 16 years.
Nayanthara had a set of heartches from her earlier relationships. She shared that if she had not experienced breakups in her life, then she would not have known that she was capable of doing many things. Nayanthara shared that she was a different individual and understood that she was capable of doing many different things in her life. She learnt from her past experiences in a relationship and also became a better person.
