A woman hired a hitman to get her husband killed, 15 days after her marriage so that she could unite with her boyfriend.
There has been another incident of murder that has come from Uttar Pradesh where a wife got her husband killed 15 days after her marriage so that she could reunite with her ex-boyfriend. The alleged case took place in Auraiya district, where 22-year-old, Pragati Yadav reportedly got her husband, 25-year-old Dilip Yadav, killed.
The report by ETV Bharat revealed that Deepak hailed from Nagla Deepa village, where the Bhogaon police station area came in Mainpuri. It was on March 5, 2025, that he married Pragati, and on March 19, 2025, two weeks after the marriage, Deepak was found critical in a wheat-laden farm. When he was taken to the hospital, he was declared dead, and his post-mortem report revealed that he was killed with a 315-bore pistol. During the investigation, police officials came to know of the conspiracy hatched by Dilip's newly wedded wife and her boyfriend, Anurag, with whom she had been in a relationship for the last four years. Now, SP Abhijeet R Shankar revealed to the media that Pragati was not happy and was forced to get married. He said in a media statement:
"She was in love with Anurag for the last four years but Pragati's family did not agree to the relationship."
The officer also noted that Pragati and Anurag plotted and gave the contract killer Rs. 1 lakh to kill Dilip. She sold off her old jewellery to collect money in order to get her husband murdered. She had told her boyfriend that Dilip was rich, and if he was removed, then they could have a happily ever after. Anurag, Pragati's boyfriend, made a team and hired Ramji Nagar for Rs. 2 lakh, where Rs. 1 lakh was paid to him.
Netizens on Reddit called Pragati a negative person and revealed that this kind of girls has a bf, but they fool some innocent man and then kill him. Now they have both his property and bf. One wrote, "How can a girl be in a relationship for four years without her parent's knowledge in a place like UP? Girls' parents always know the truth about their daughter but they want to trap a man asap and then it's his problem." One wrote, "They marry for money. Simple as that. She could've ran with her bf but both of them conspired to first get her married then kill the husband."
Pragati reportedly had plans to become the owner of Deepak's property post killing him. She reportedly had taken a bottle of poison with her to her in-law's house and her intention was to poison her husband which failed miserably. she intended
