Prajakta Koli recently opened up about her initial interaction with her now husband, Vrishank Khanal and how she agreed to be his girlfriend.
Prajakta Koli and Vrishank Khanal are one of the most loved couples on the internet. The duo have been dating for over a decade, and Prajakta has often shared interesting insights from their relationship through her vlogs and social media. They tied the knot a month ago, on February 25, 2025, and social media was filled with their heartfelt wedding pictures that won a lot of praise. After taking a brief break from work for her marriage, Prajakta Koli recently shared how she agreed to date Vrishank without meeting him.
Prajakta Koli was 18 when she met 22 -year-old Vrishank, and they began dating. The influencer recently sat down for a podcast with Abhay Deol for Durex India and recalled her initial interaction with her now husband, Vrishank. She shared that Vrishank was the first to see her at a friend's place, and he saw her before she could. He noted that she held a BlackBerry mobile, which was popular 13 years ago. Sharing how Vrishank reached out to her, Prajakta said:
"Vrishank saw it and reached out to my friend, asking, 'I saw she has a BlackBerry. Can you get me her BBM?' He added me on BBM, and we talked for three days straight. I had never seen the guy."
Prajakta highlighted that it was more like 'sliding into your DMs' version in 2011. Consequently, without meeting in person, they began exchanging messages, and he used to send her tunes that he played on his guitar and songs he sang, which they both liked and impressed her. Three days later, when suddenly he asked her to be his girlfriend, she agreed to it. The actress joked that he could have been dangerous based on his photos since she hadn't met him in-person, but since he came through a mutual friend, she thought he wouldn't be charming at the most. Recalling her first meeting with Vrishank, Prajakta said:
"The next day, I met him, and all my friends were like, 'What is wrong with you? Oh no, I didn't think of that at all. But when I saw him, I thought, 'Nice.' Lucky me! Very lucky! At that time, none of us thought it would turn into what it has become. I didn't think much of it; I was just getting to know someone. I thought, 'Yeah, sure, why not?' And now I'm married to him."
Prajakta Koli and Vrishank Khanal dated for 13 years before tying the knot. Moreover, since Vrishank proposed to Prajakta in 2023, fans have been waiting for their big day, which is worth the wait. The diva shared that, unlike the regular perception that bride and groom get tired at their wedding, she and Vrishank enjoyed it the most. The influencer told Screen that:
'I love that Vrishank and I have enjoyed our wedding. We had a lot of fun, sang, danced, ate a lot of food, and enjoyed our drinks. We have met with all the people we love and care for, likee my family and friends who have not met for years, who have flown down to meet and be with us during those days. So, I don't look at it as too good to be true; I look at it as something perfect. It was everything that we wanted, and we were happy. Now I sit back and look at it, and I am it; oh, it actually happened."
Prajakta Koli and Vrishank Khanal tied the knot with her lawyer-boyfriend, Vrishank Khanal, on February 25, 2025, at Oleander Farms in Karjat, Maharashtra. It was a private ceremony with the couple's family and friends in attendance. They had a series of pre-wedding soirees including mehendi, sangeet and haldi before their nature-inspired wedding and both Prajakta and Vrishank paid tribute to their Nepali roots in some ways.
