Prateik Babbar is the son of veteran actor, Raj Babbar and his second wife, late actress, Smita Patil. He began his career in Bollywood as a production assistant and debuted as an actor in Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na. Prateik also starrer in films like Dhobi Ghat, My Friend Pinto, Baaghi 2 and more. Apart from his work life, Prateik's personal life has also made headlines. From his sour bond with his father to his struggles with substance abuse, the actor has been transparent about it. Once again, Prateik is making headlines for completely different reasons linked to his personal life.
Prateik's love life has always piqued the interest of his fans, and they can't stay calm, as media reports suggest that wedding bells are set to ring at his home. According to a report from the Times Of India, Prateik Babbar is set to marry his long-time girlfriend and actress, Priya Banerjee, on February 14, 2025. The couple got engaged on November 26, 2023, two days before his birthday.
As per the media portal's sources, the wedding would be a private affair involving only the actor's close friends and family members in attendance. At the same time, the wedding ceremony may likely be held at Prateik's residence in Bandra, according to traditional Indian wedding customs. For those unaware, Priya is a Canadian actress who has worked in Hindi and South Indian films and web series like Joru, Baarish, Maaya Ka Moh, Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna, and more.
In a previous interview with Galatta India, Prateik discussed his bond with Priya. He mentioned that after a series of failed relationships, he had decided to stay single and enjoy his life. However, when Priya entered his life, his perspective changed, and he strongly believes that god sent her into his life. At the same time, he mentioned that he was grateful that things worked out in their favor. He said:
"I believe in soulmates. I found mine. I believe in romance. I believe in all of them, but I didn't four years ago, but yes, cupid came and punctured my heart with an arrow."
On the other hand, last year, in a Valentine's Special interview with Bombay Times, Priya Banerjee, opened up about his bond with Prateik and stated that falling in love with the Baaghi 2 actor has been an exciting experience for her. She also highlighted that she had never fallen in love and that Prateik was the first love of her life. Although she never had a positive perspective toward relationships and was scared of commitment, he changed things for her.
Prateik Babbar was earlier in a relationship with actress, Amy Jackson. The two fell in love while filming for their film, Ekk Deewana Tha, but soon parted ways. In 2019, he got married to film producer, Sanya Sagar. However, the couple soon experienced problems in their marriage. In an interview with Times Of India, Prateik stated that they were different people and got married in a rush due to family pressure that didn't give them time to know each other. Later, the two got separated in 2020 and divorced in January 2023.
