Wedding bells are ringing loudly for yesteryear actress Smita Patil and superstar actor, Raj Babbar’s son, Prateik Babbar. The 31-year-old actor who was earlier dating Ami Jackson has now moved on and will soon be tying the knot with his girlfriend. Prateik got engaged on January 22, 2018, with Liv (a short film) producer, Sanya Sagar, at her Lucknow farmhouse. Prateik and Sanya have known each other for eight long years and have eventually found their perfect partners in each other. And now, the groom-to-be has revealed when he will be tying the knot with his fiancée. In an interview with TellyChakkar, Prateik promises to marry soon and stated, "We are definitely getting married in the first few months of 2019. I know this is for keeps."
Not just this, he also talked about how love has changed his life. Completely besotted in love Prateik gushed, "I am more at peace, able to focus on my work and I've someone to go back to at the end of the day. I am very clear about keeping my professional and personal lives apart. I will never allow the two to clash. Of course, she is also part of the cinema. She is an editor, writer and a filmmaker. But her priorities are very different from mine. We are very different people. And yet we've so much in common." For the ones who missed out, Prateik in a very happening style shared his engagement news with everyone. He took to Instagram and posted a funny picture with Sanya, captioning it, “#monday.. holy snappp!.. that just happened!". To which Sanya (who is by the name of 'pynkmoss' on Instagram) replied, “Yus baby” with a heart emoticon. Earlier in an interview, Prateik got candid about his engagement and told this to Mumbai Mirror, “Sanya and I, along with our families, decided that something as pure as love should be solemnised on an auspicious day and what better day than Basant Panchami. She’s the best partner I could have asked for. It didn’t take me long to figure out that she was the one for me. I know it sounds clichéd, but I can’t stop counting my blessings and thanking God for all the good that is happening in my life.”
