Preity and Gene started dating around 18 months back. Gene is a high-flying financial analyst and was seen accompanying Preity for many of her IPL matches. He was also by Preity’s side when she had a breakup with her former boyfriend, Ness Wadia. Interestingly, when the two of them started dating, their friends believed that their relationship will not last long. However, they seem to have proved their detractors wrong.

As per reports, it was a close-knit ceremony in Los Angeles with only their close friends present. Sussanne Khan and Surily Goel, her close friends were also present at the ceremony. Sussanne had been sharing pictures of her trip to Los Angeles that further confirmed the news that she was there to attend the wedding.

The couple plans to have a big, fat Indian wedding in April just before the IPL season kicks off. Her friends from the industry too (including the Bachchans, Hrithik Roshan) will be a part of the celebrations, and it will be a fun-filled ceremony complete with all the band, baaja and baarat.
