Preity Zinta is one of the most famous and talented actresses in the Hindi Film industry. The gorgeousness started her acting career in 1998 with her debut movie and romantic thriller, Dil Se… alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala. Apart from that, she proved her mettle in acting in several other movies such as Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Dil Chahta Hai, Dil Hai Tumhaara, Armaan, and more. But did you know that the talented actress never went to any acting school? Yes! You read it right. Preity recently opened up about the same and also talked about the roles that she opted for throughout her career.
In a recent interview with the IANS, Preity Zinta shared that she never joined any acting school or any workshop. The actress shared that she just wanted to get things right on the set. The diva also mentioned that she gave everything to the characters or the script that made sense to her and aligned well with her belief. Preity also added that she always wanted to act in a role that challenged her or showed women in a positive light. Sharing more details about the same, Preity stated:
"There was a definitive understanding for me, even though I never went to an acting school or a workshop, I just wanted to get things right on set, to be honest. Script wise, whichever director gave me a script that made sense to me and the character aligned with my beliefs, I gave it my all. Even doing songs is very very difficult, you have to do them well...I have always wanted to do different roles, something that challenged me or showed women in a positive light, different and progressive manner as opposed to just as an object of desire."

Further, in the interview, Preity Zinta shared that her family was very strict, so she never wanted to take up any work that would get her in any sort of trouble. The talented artist also added that she wanted to do things that appealed to her as a person. Talking along the same line, Preity Zinta stated:
"I also had a very strict family back home, so I did not take up any work that would get me in any trouble at home. It was a mix of everything. When I started out, I just wanted to do the right thing and things that appealed to me as a person.”
For the unversed, Preity Zinta's father, Durganand Zinta was an officer in the Indian army. The actress's father was the reason that she became a strong individual. The actress once, in an interview, talked about how her father made her strong. The actress went down memory lane and recalled one of her childhood incidents when the Zinta family went hiking on the tallest peak near Aurangabad. The actress shared that as she was barely in her teens and decided not to go hiking, for which dropped the bottle to indicate that she had given up on the same. Preity shared that it was her father who then commanded her to wake up, fix her gear and finish the climb. Preity shared that when she reached the peak, her papa told her:
"What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. You should learn to fight and stand firm for your reasons."
