Indian cricketer, Prithvi Shaw was attacked and the windshield of his BMW was broken by fans after he refused to click some selfies with them.
Time and again, we have seen many celebs having encounters with their crazy fans, and Indian cricketer, Prithvi Shaw recently had one. The 23-year-old cricketer was reportedly manhandled, and his car was attacked with a baseball bat by some people in Mumbai after the batsman refused to click selfies with them. A video from the incident has been doing the rounds on the internet, and netizens are shocked to see the same.
The video showed the cricketer standing outside a luxurious hotel in Santacruz, Mumbai. Meanwhile, a girl, dressed in a shimmery golden outfit was seen approaching him. However, the cricketer was not in the mood, and he moved away. Prithvi was seen in a white T-shirt and blue jeans, as he was busy on his phone. Later, he was seen asking the man capturing the video to put his camera down. The video is widely being circulated on the internet, and Prithvi's fans are expressing their concern over the same.

Now, Prithvi Shaw's friend has filed a complaint about the incident revealing that the fight began at a luxury hotel near the Mumbai airport on February 15, 2023. It so happened that two fans, a man and a woman, approached the cricketer for selfies and he obliged. But after a few pictures, they refused to back off and demanded some more, so Shaw called his friend and asked the hotel's manager to have the fans removed from the premises. However, the fans waited outside for Prithvi, and armed with baseball bats, they mobbed the cricketer.
However, somehow Shaw and his friend drove off from the hotel, but the fans chased their car. To ensure Prithvi's safety, he was shifted to another car while his friend drove his BMW to Oshiwara. Finally, the accused hit the car with a baseball bat and broke its windshield at a traffic signal near Oshiwara. Well, not just this, they also demanded Rs. 50,000, from the cricketer and even threatened to file a fake police case against him. After that, Prithvi's friend lodged a complaint against the eight people involved in the incident.

The arrested woman has been identified as Sapna Gill, who is a popular social media influencer, and the man was her friend, Shobhit Thakur. Reportedly, the Oshiwara police have registered a case against the accused under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections, 143 (unlawful assembly), 148 (rioting), 384 (extortion), 506 (criminal intimidation) and others. Moreover, Shobhit and Sapna claimed that it was Prithvi who attacked them with a baseball bat.
The police arrested Sapna Gill on February 17, 2023, and she will be presented in the Andheri court on February 17, 2023.
