Breaking of marriages as some cannot survive the test of time, is very common these days. However, if there is trouble in the paradise of a celebrity, it is sure to make it to the headlines. Actress, Priyamani, who had marked her footsteps in Bollywood with the item song in Chennai Express, had, later on, gathered a lot of accolades through her performance in the web series, The Family Man.
In her personal life, Priyamani is married to businessman and event manager, Mustufa Raj. The duo had met at a cricket stadium in Bangalore, and Mustufa had proposed to her on the sets of D for Dance. After an intimate engagement ceremony in 2016, Priyamani and Mustufa Raj had tied the knot on August 23, 2017. However, having no personal differences, there seems to be tough time awaiting them ahead.

In a recent report by ETimes, Mustufa Raj's first wife, Ayesha, has challenged his wedding to Priyamani in the court of law. According to the report, Mustufa and Ayesha have two kids, and she has challenged his marriage with a legal notice, claiming that he never divorced her. Henceforth, his marriage to Priyamani stands null and void. Ayesha has also filed a domestic violence case against him.
When ETimes reached out to her, Ayesha said that Mustufa Raj had declared in the court that he was a bachelor and did not even give her a divorce before marrying Priyamani. She told the entertainment portal, "Mustufa is still married to me. Mustufa and Priyamani's marriage is invalid. We have not even filed for divorce and while marrying Priyamani, he declared in the court that he was a bachelor."

While talking to ETimes, Mustufa Raj refuted Ayesha's petition and said that he has been paying for the children's upbringing and she is doing it to extort more money from him. He said, "The charges against me are false. I am paying the children's maintenance to Ayesha regularly. She is simply trying to extort money from me." He also stated that that they have been staying separately since 2010 and had got divorced in 2013.
Priyamani's husband, Mustufa Raj, further asked that he had married Priyamani in 2017, so what was Ayesha doing all these years? He stated, "My marriage with Priyamani happened in 2017, why was Ayesha quiet for so long?" Replying to the same, Ayesha said, "As a mother of two children, what can you do? One tries to sort it out amicably but only when it doesn't work out, some steps need to be taken because you don't want to lose out on time which he has been using against me now."
