Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas Are Spending Whopping 3.2 Crore On Their Jodhpur Wedding Festivities

From the bridal shower, pre-wedding dinner dates and bachelorette/bachelor parties, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ pre-wedding festivities are going on in full swing. On December 1-2, 2018, Priyanka and Nick will say ‘I do’ in two wedding ceremonies, as per Hindu and Christian traditions respectively. While the details about Priyanka and Nick’s wedding have been kept under the wraps, we know that the lovebirds will be exchanging the nuptial vows at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur. According to a DNA report, the Chopra-Jonas families have booked the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace for the wedding from November 29, 2018, to December 3, 2018. As per a source, “The couple has booked the fort from November 29 to December 1. It will be closed for tourists on these three days.”

When the aforementioned media portal called the Palace and inquired for the reservations, the hotel personnel at the reservation counter said, “None of the rooms are available on these dates. We have rooms till November 28 and again starting from December 4. We are completely booked for the five days in between.” Do you know how much Priyanka and Nick are shelling out for their wedding festivities?

The grand yellow sandstone property, Umaid Bhawan Palace has 64 luxurious rooms and suites i.e. 22 palace rooms and 42 suites which are further segregated into four types - 24 historical suites, 10 royal suites, 6 grand royal suites and 2 presidential suites. The per night prices (exclusive of taxes) for each room is Rs 47,300 for palace rooms, Rs 65,300 for historical suites, Rs 1.45 lakh for royal suites, Rs 2.30 lakh for grand royal suites and Rs 5.04 lakh for presidential suites.

So, the total cost to book the entire hotel sums up to approximately Rs 64.40 lakh per night. And since the hotel has been booked for a total of five days by Priyanka and Nick, so just the accommodation will reportedly cost around Rs 3.2 crore. As per the reports, Priyanka Chopra will board a flight to Udaipur and then will board a chopper along with her family, to reach the wedding venue. A representative of Mewar Helicopter Services confirmed it by saying, “Only one helicopter has been booked for November 29 and December 3. Priyanka will be boarding the helicopter from Udaipur and the helicopter will directly land at Umaid Bhawan Palace on November 29. She will be returning to Udaipur on December 3 by boarding the helicopter from the wedding venue itself. We are yet to receive the names of the people boarding the helicopter from Udaipur. Nick Jonas might join her as well. The same helicopter has also been booked to ferry guests from Jodhpur airport to Umaid Bhawan Palace. The helicopter will take five-six rounds to ferry the guests.”

Priyanka and Nick’s pre-wedding festivities will kickstart on an auspicious note on November 28, 2018. As per a Filmfare report, a source close to the couple shared, "Priyanka and Nick are very excited for their wedding celebrations and just before they begin mehendi and other ceremonies, they will have a small pooja for everything to start on a good note. Other than their Mumbai reception, they will also be hosting a wedding reception in Delhi for Priyanka’s relatives."

According to the reports earlier, Priyanka and Nick planned to host the sangeet at Mehrangarh Fort. But as per the latest reports, the sangeet ceremony, along with the other functions, will now take place at the Umaid Bhawan Palace itself. As per the sources, Priyanka wanted police protection to travel from Umaid Bhawan Palace to Mehrangarh Fort and she even hired a private security agency for the same. But the Jodhpur police couldn’t provide the protection citing the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan. An official from Mehrangarh Fort also confirmed that the booking has got cancelled.
