Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' wedding photos and videos are going viral on social media. And the one which caught the attention of animal rights organization, PETA has stormed up a heated trolling online. Yes, PETA has slammed Priyanka and Nick for animal cruelty at their wedding. The official Twitter page of PETA India, shared the following video and tweeted, "Dear Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. Elephants for weddings live in chains and horses are controlled with whips, spiked bits. People are rejecting elephant rides and having horse-free weddings. Congrats, but we regret it was not a happy day for animals."
Talking to IANS, PETA India CEO Manilal Valliyate said, "Priyanka has been ill-served by not being advised of the firestorm that would be caused by participating in animal abuse. It doesn't make a person look big or glamorous to promote cruelty to animals who have no choice but to serve. It makes them look small. Overwhelmingly, these days PETA is delighted to see so many celebrities feel passionate about protecting animals."
Priyanka has also been trolled on social media for the usage of fireworks at her wedding. The Quantico star has been a huge supporter of Green-Diwali campaign, and hence, firecrackers at her wedding didn't go well with social media users. Check out this video and the trolling that followed:
At a recent Facebook event called Social For Good, Priyanka spoke about how celebs get targeted online by trolls. She was quoted as saying,"Trollers have their own life. If they do negative comments, why not focus on the positive comments." Further adding, "These trolls have the nastiest things to say, but they won't say it in face." As for Priyanka and Nick's wedding, everything went well and it was a fun-filled extravaganza of 3 days. Last night, Priyanka shared a few glimpses from her sangeet ceremony, and captioned them as, "It all began as a fierce song and dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends."
Earlier, Priyanka also shared her mehendi ceremony pictures and wrote, “One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.” (Suggested Read: Malaika Arora's Current And Ex, Arjun Kapoor And Arbaaz Khan's Awkward Moment At DeepVeer Reception) Priyanka and Nick, many congratulations to you both.
