Priyanka and Nick have sold their pictures to People.com. In their interview with the newly-weds, Priyanka was asked about her white wedding and she shared, "It was all tears. All tears. I could not hold it in. I think I was nervous and scared. But as soon as the curtains opened, and I saw his face it was just like everything settled and I knew I was making the best decision of my life."
And if you are wondering, it was only Priyanka who cried seeing her hubby, no! Even Nick went teary-eyed and couldn't stop looking at his bride as she walked down the aisle. Take a look:
Priyanka also told the international magazine about her D-day and the choice of two weddings. She stated, “Every girl dreams of being a princess on her wedding day. But I never had a plan about what I wanted it to be." And added, "Being able to have two big weddings, in India, with our closest family and friends was unbelievably special. I love that our wedding was a religious mash-up. We took beautiful traditions that we both grew up with and personalized them in a way that made sense for us. It’s been incredible to find the commonalities between our beliefs and figuring out how to blend them in a respectful and meaningful way.”
Every girl now must be day-dreaming about her own wedding, right? Priyanka Chopra shared two official wedding pics, one from her Hindu wedding and the other from her Christian wedding. She captioned both the pictures as, "And the forever starts now," followed by a heart emoji. Take a look:
Earlier, Priyanka and Nick shared the snaps from their mehendi ceremony and captioned them as, “One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each others faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was afternoon that kicked of the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.” (Don't Miss: Amitabh Bachchan Reveals Who Won Girls Vs Boys Dance Face-Off At Deepika And Ranveer Reception)
Later, Priyanka also posted photos and videos from the sangeet ceremony, and wrote, "It all began as a fierce song and dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends."
