After Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding, fans are excited for another grand union of the year and it’s of international sensations, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. The lovebirds are all set to walk down the aisle on December 2, 2018, at the famous Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. For the ones who don’t know, Priyanka and Nick had an intimate roka ceremony on August 18, 2018, at the former’s Mumbai residence.
To give you all a heads up, the pre-wedding festivities of Nickyanka (as their fans fondly call them) will kick-start from November 29, 2018, with a mehendi ceremony, which will be followed by a sangeet ceremony at Mehrangarh Fort. After this, on November 30, 2018, the couple will be hosting a cocktail party for their close friends and family. On December 1, 2018, a haldi function is supposed to take place. And finally, on December 2, 2018, Priyanka and Nick will walk down the aisle at Umaid Bhawan Palace. Since the wedding week has already started, the celebrations at the actress’s Mumbai house has started. PeeCee’s bungalow is all decked up and as per the reports, the guests have also started coming at her residence. The entire building is all glittery and decorated with beautiful lights. Do you know Priyanka Chopra doesn’t want to get clicked as she reaches Jodhpur? For this, she reportedly has a plan. A Times of India report quoted a source as saying, “Only one helicopter has been booked for November 29 and December 3. Priyanka will be boarding the helicopter from Udaipur and the helicopter will directly land at Umaid Bhawan Palace on November 29. We are yet to receive the names of the people boarding the helicopter from Udaipur. Nick Jonas might join her as well. The same helicopter has also been booked to ferry guests from Jodhpur airport to Umaid Bhavan Palace”. Recently, Priyanka’s mom Madhu Chopra was spotted at the wedding venue and when she was asked about the destination, she remarked, “Mera bahut pasandida shehar hai. Saari duniya chhodkar hum yahaan aaye hain. (This city is my favourite. We left aside the whole world to come to this place).” Sharing details about the wedding preparations, she added, “Ab shaadi dekh lena. Abhi se kya bataaun. Jab ho jaaye, tab baat karenge (You will see it when it happens. What do I say about it now? We will talk when it happens) (sic).”
Also, an online tabloid, Bollywood Hungama quoted a famous filmmaker as saying, “The whole idea is to be one-up on the other wedding. No matter how much they pretend to be friends, there is a massive undercurrent of competitiveness between Priyanka and Deepika. And if Deepika’s wedding was a super-exclusive affair far away in Lake Como, Priyanka’s wedding would be a super-lavish affair right here in exotic Jodhpur.”
