Priyanka Chopra revealed the painful experience she went through while freezing her eggs. However, she also advocated for it as the process gave her a sense of security in her 30s.
Global icon, Priyanka Chopra talked about freezing her eggs in her 30s and opened up about the painful experience. However, she also advocated it for many women around her for some valid reasons. For the unversed, she is married to the famous singer, Nick Jonas. Together, they welcomed a baby girl into their lives in January 2022, and named her Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Since then, Priyanka and Nick's lives revolve around their bundle of joy, Malti and proof of the same is found in the doting parents' respective social media handles.
During a recent podcast with UnWrapped, Priyanka Chopra opened up about freezing her eggs in her early 30s. The process happened while she was filming for her TV show, Quantico, at the time. However, Priyanka revealed that it was a 'painful' process, and she had to take injections for over a month. Elaborating more on it, the actress mentioned the hormonal ups and downs she had to face making her feel bloated. Priyanka said:
“When I was in my early 30s, I decided to do it. I was filming Quantico at that time. It is painful, you have to give yourself injections over a month. You have hormonal ups and downs. It makes you feel insane. You feel bloated.”

Despite the process of 'freezing the eggs' being hard, Priyanka still wanted to do it. Moroever, the actress added that she would also like to advocate it. She shared that all kinds of women who aren't sure about the person with whom they want to have kids should freeze their eggs after saving money for the expensive process. She shared:
“I was filming at that time but I just wanted to do it for myself. It’s expensive, so you should save for it. It’s not the easiest thing to do but I do advocate it for working women, single women or those who want to have kids but aren’t sure about it."
Revealing the reason behind her advocacy, Priyanka mentioned that it helps women 'get ahead of a potential problem'. She hinted at the importance of the biological clock in a woman's body and how the process of 'freezing eggs' helps have a part of anyone living in this world when they leave. For the same, she had also taken her mother-cum-obstetrician-gynaecologist, Madhu Chopra's advice. Not only that, she also consulted a friend who underwent such a procedure. Ultimately, she called it the smartest decision ever and stated:
“Who knows when will I be able to marry the person with whom I want to have children? I want to have children as God has given me and my body the ability to do it.”

In an interview with Today Show, Priyanka Chopra shared how she and her husband, Nick Jonas had shut down after learning about their daughter, Malti's premature birth. She shared that it was then her husband, who became her support system during that time. And due to this, since her birth, Malti always has at least one of them by her side. Talking more about it, Priyanka shared how a few days Malti was weak since birth, and due to the same, she and Nick were constantly worried about her. PeeCee also shared how she used to wake up every couple of minutes every night to check on her baby and keep an ear on Malti's chest to check if she was alive.
