Puja Banerjee's Bengali 'Vidaai' Video, Flaunts Her 'Mangalsutra', Red 'Bindi', 'Shankha' And 'Pola'

Puja Banerjee finally got married to Kunal Verma traditionally and shared her Bengali 'vidaai' video on her IG handle.

Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma had exchanged rings in 2017 after dating for 9 years. They had planned to tie the knot in April 2020, as per Bengali rituals, but the pandemic had disturbed their plans. Later, in April 2020, Puja and Kunal had announced that they already had a court marriage in February 2020. Now, the couple has finally tied the knot in a traditional ceremony.

On November 16, 2020, Kunal Verma had taken to his Instagram handle to share a surreal picture with his wife, Puja Banerjee. He had shared a twinning-in-pink picture on his IG handle, where Puja was seen wearing her shankha and pola, which are the bangles worn by Bengali married women. He had captioned it as:

''ban gayi meri rani.''

A while back, taking to her IG handle, Puja Banerjee shared her vidaai video and it is one happy moment for her. In the video, Puja can be seen adjusting her phone to record her vidaai as it was a mere formality for them. Later, Puja was seen throwing rice as a ritual in her mother’s lap and laughing out loud. For her vidaai, Puja wore a peach saree with golden foil print over it. She accentuated her look with her mangalsutra, a big red bindi, and shankha-pola, channelling her inner Bengali married lady. She captioned the video as:

“Vidaaii i love u meri maaaa.”   

On November 16, 2021, Puja Banerjee had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared two pictures as a newly married bride. In the photo, we could see Puja wearing a pastel pink-hued chiffon saree with a matching cap-sleeved blouse. She had styled her look with minimal makeup, a red-coloured bindi, and a unique mangalsutra.

On November 14, 2021, Puja and Kunal had their mehendi night. For the ceremony, while Kunal had worn a light green kurta with white pants and a white Nehru jacket with floral motifs on it, Puja had looked beautiful in a shimmery floral green lehenga. Their son, Krishiv had looked dapper in a pink kurta with white pyjama and had twinned with his mommy in a floral green Nehru jacket.

On November 15, 2021, Puja and Kunal had performed their haldi rasam and the first pictures from the same had gone viral on social media. Puja’s friend, Monalisa had shared a picture of the bride-to-be, drenched in haldi and posing for the camera. Puja could be seen wearing a yellow saree with a red border on it. On the other hand, Kunal’s friend had shared videos of him from his haldi ritual.

To announce their court wedding, Puja Banerjee had taken to her IG handle in April 2020 and had shared a throwback picture from Durga Puja - Sindoor Khela in 2019. Puja and Kunal had shared that their court wedding had happened a month-and-a-half ago. Puja and Kunal had written:

“This is a pic from last year durga puja sindoor khela. Today was supposed to be our wedding but the situation is such that we have cancelled all our ceremonies although we had registered our marriage before a month so we are officially married and together forever now.”
