Popular Gujarati actress, Puja Joshi married actor, Malhar Thakar on November 26, 2024. The couple started a new chapter in their lives together and posted joyous pictures from their wedding on their Instagram handle. There were rumours, doing roundabouts, for a long time that the pair would be getting married.
The pair had an intimate wedding ceremony and reportedly dated for many months before getting married. Puja looked royal in a bright red bridal wear with intricate embroidery details, and she completed her look with royal jewellery. Malhar looked dapper in a light-hued sherwani and a safa. Their radiant smile was captured, showcasing the pair's love and excitement. They posted a joint post where they shared their first wedding pictures and captioned it as:
"From I and me, we became us, and we lived happily ever after."
Fans and celeb friends of Puja and Malhar congratulated the couple and showered them with love and blessings. Raj Anadkat, aka Tapu of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame, congratulated the couple. One fan wrote, "Many many congratulations puja and Malhar." Another one commented, "Congratulations both of you and have a blessed life ahead."
Malhar Thakar had kept his bachelor status for the longest time in the Dhollywood industry. Fans were waiting for the longest time for the actor to get married. His name was associated with Puja for the longest time and a post had also gone viral where it was rumoured that the pair would reportedly get married. According to a report by Filmi Fox, sources had reported that the pair was about to get married; however, their manager had not confirmed the news nor given a proper response. Neither Puja nor Malhar gave any update about their relationship status and maintained a stoic silence.
A report by Gujarati MidDay claimed that the couple's dating rumours were a promotional stunt for a movie. Even before their movie, Lagan Special was released, it was speculated that the pair was to get married, but it was then revealed that it was just a promotional stunt for their film. The couple looks good on the screen and reportedly worked together in a web series and two movies. Puja and Malhar worked together in the web show Vaat Vaat Ma, and their chemistry was highly applauded. They were also seen in Lagan Special, which was released in 2024.
In an earlier interview with ETimes, Puja revealed that she knew Malhar, when she joined the sets of Vaat Vaat Ma. She heaped praises on the actor and said:
"When I signed Vaat Vaat Ma, I just knew Malhar as a D-Town superstar (laughs). I thought that he would be arrogant or might be difficult to work with. But as I got to know him while shooting for the show, I realised that he is a humble and down-to-earth person, and that made it so easy for us to bond as friends."
