Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the happiest and most colourful festivals in India that is celebrated across the nation with huge enthusiasm and devotion. For the unversed, Ganesh Chaturthi marks the rebirth of the Hindu God, Lord Ganesha. On this day, people bring Ganapati idols into their homes, and after a duration of 10-days, people immerse the idols in water on the day of Ganesh Visarjan. Just like every year, people celebrate the auspicious festival with so much excitement in different parts of the country.

However, it is Karnataka that is getting a lot of attention after late South Indian actor, Puneeth Rajkumar's fans brought home his idols along with Lord Ganapati. The pictures of the same are now viral on social media.

On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the die-hard fans of the famous Kannada actor, late Puneeth Rajkumar did something that melted the hearts of everyone and created a stir on the internet. The followers of the iconic actor brought home idols inspired by him into their homes along with Lord Ganapati. The amazing gesture from Puneeth's fans impressed everyone as pictures of the same are all over the internet. For the unversed, it was on October 29, 2021, when everyone's favourite actor, Puneeth Rajkumar was admitted to the famous Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru after the Kannada actor had reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest. According to the reports, some of the most dignified doctors of the city were assembled at the Vikram Hospital for the treatment of the actor, who was admitted into the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) as soon as he was taken to hospital. However, despite doctors' best efforts, Puneeth Rajkumar had passed away. The sudden demise of the iconic actor had shocked the entire nation, and a massive void was created in the Indian film industry.

After Puneeth Rajkumar's sudden demise due to a cardiac arrest, on November 16, 2021, the late actor's wife, Ashwini Revanath had taken to her Instagram handle and had penned an emotional letter for his fans, who were in immense pain. In the heartmelting letter, Ashwini had thanked each and every fan for maintaining calm even in the most chaotic moments. The doting wife also added that they were the ones, who had made her husband a 'power star' and had shared that she knew they were the ones, who were going through a lot of pain at this very moment. Reflecting more on the same, she had written:

"The untimely death of Sri, Puneeth Rajkumar has been shocking not only to the family but also to the entire state of Karnataka. It is hard to imagine the extent of pain this loss 'would have brought on you, the fans who made him the 'Power Star'. Despite the pain that you have gone through, you have not lost your calm and not let any unpleasant incidents occur, ensuring a respectful farewell to Puneeth Rajkumar."
