Love in the times of coronavirus seems a lot more complicated as social distancing has taken away all the fun and the guestlist of 50 people has ruined our dream of a big fat Indian wedding. In the midst of it all, there are many couples, who are either tying the knot or getting engaged. And Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 winner, Punit Pathak is one of them, who has gotten engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Nidhi Moony Singh. On August 26, 2020, Punit and Nidhi had exchanged the rings, and Punit had shared pictures of the same on his Instagram handle. He had posted cute pictures with his 'soon-to-be-Mrs', Nidhi, in which they had flaunted their engagement rings. Alongside it, he had written, "To the beginning of ALWAYS! I sixth sense you @nidhimoonysingh #engaged."
Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Punit talked about his decision of getting engaged. He had said, "More than lovers, Nidhi and I are friends. We were talking about getting engaged and when we asked each other if we wanted to settle down together, we both agreed at once. The lockdown gave us a lot of time to think and we took the decision together. Our families consulted the panditji and he gave us a good date for the ceremony." Punit further added, "People knew that I was dating Nidhi, but I wanted to make it official since I am fully committed to her and this relationship. I think it was the right time to do so and Nidhi agreed. It is a very big step for us and I am still digesting the fact that I am engaged. My friends have been asking about the next steps now that we are engaged." Talking about his marriage dates, Punit stated, "We will decide on a wedding date soon. We want our families and friends to be a part of our big day. But it all depends on when the crisis that we are all in resolves."
A few weeks ago, on Nidhi's birthday, Punit had penned a lovely wish for her. He had shared a monochrome picture of her and had written, "Happy birthday @nidhimoonysingh. Celebrating this day to celebrate YOU ! you that made us - US ... celebrating this day to make you feel you are special, special in a way that I wanna celebrate you everyday !! May you be happy all the way with all your dreams coming true.
