Coming back to Purab and his Goa destination wedding with Lucy, two years after the birth of his first child, the Hip Hip Hurray actor had shared in an interview with Hindustan Times, “We always wanted to get married, but didn’t want to rush into it. When Inaya was going to come into this world, it was a glorious moment by itself, and we didn’t want to dilute that by suddenly rushing into marriage. We had always planned that we will wait for the right time and the frame of mind, to get settled. But this [wedding] isn’t sudden, as we decided on this date, a year back.”

Speaking about having a child prior to marriage is still quite a taboo in India. Revealing details about how his family had reacted to it, the Airlift actor had shared, “No! My parents have always been supportive of my decisions. I understand that the decisions I have made with Lucy have shaken the foundations [of the] institution of marriage, but my family was evolved enough to accept us.” (Must Read: 'Nimki Mukhiya' Fame Abhishek Sharma Gets Married To Apeksha Dandekar, Pictures Inside)

In an earlier interview with The Indian Express, Purab had shared about marriage and having a love child, “When Inaya was conceived, we were not married and it didn’t matter to me. When Lucy called me and said, ‘Hey we are having a baby and I said wow. Let’s do it.’ There was pressure to get married. My mother was the most concerned and my family did say you guys have to get married quickly when she was pregnant. But I was adamant about not doing it because I never wanted my baby to feel that we got into a relationship because she was coming. Her coming into this world has transformed both our lives for the better. She is our love child and has bloomed even more love between both of us and made me love life more. I don’t want her to ever feel that it was not meant to be. It was meant in every possible way and she was the force of nature and nothing could stop her from coming into this world.”

Don’t you want to know about the ‘big’ proposal? Purab had shared in the same interview, “Well, we just started talking and sort of went for it. I can’t remember who proposed first, but I did later formally propose to her. Also, we had discussed it before, so it wasn’t a surprise!”

Looking at the following picture, you might guess that the couple had a traditional Indian set-up for their wedding. Speaking about the same, Purab had shared, “There was no tradition of any organised sect, and it was our own style. We were dressed in Indian clothes and had genda phools (marigold flowers) as part of the decoration. Nice Punjabi songs being played was the sole bit that brought the ‘Indian-ness’ to the whole ceremony. It was largely Lucy’s doing, and the wedding was structured around ideas that she had for our union.”

Yes, coming back to ‘who’ had the most fun at Purab and Lucy’s wedding, Munna Michael star had stated, “Most of the things were centered around her — what all she loves, and children, in general. There were around 35-40 children in the wedding. Special areas had been created for the kids. While the ceremony was happening outside [in the lawn], we could hear the song Circle of Life playing inside, because The Lion King happens to be her [Inaya’s] favourite movie!” (Also Read: Neha Kakkar Opens Up About Her Breakup With Himansh Kohli, Says 'It Wasn't An Ugly Breakup')
