On June 1, 2020, we had heard the news of iconic composer, Wajid Khan's demise. The man who was a part of Bollywood's iconic duo, Sajid-Wajid, left us all for the heavenly adobe after a cardiac arrest. After his demise, it was incredibly tough for his brother, Sajid Khan, to carry their legacy forward, as all his life, he had worked with Wajid, and it was always their collaborated efforts that brought them success. Now, in his latest interview, Sajid has revealed the way he managed to bring the best out of him after Wajid's death.

Since Wajid Khan's demise, his brother, Sajid Khan, has never skipped a chance to cherish his brother's priceless memories through his old pictures, videos, and incredible work. For instance, on June 4, 2020, Sajid had shared a picture with his sibling, Wajid, and along with it, he had penned a heart-wrenching note stating that he is left in this world with mummy while Wajid is in that world with their papa. The note could be read as "I'm in this world with mummy and you're in that world with papa. #loveyoubrother My Jannat ka rockstar."
In an interview with ETimes TV, Sajid Khan revealed that his brother, Wajid Khan's sudden demise, had not only broken him emotionally only but also cast a big question mark on his musical career in Bollywood. Because he had always worked with his brother, and it was a new challenge for him to do it all without him. Sajid also added that he was scared that their legacy would collapse after Wajid's demise. He said, "Many people doubted my ability to carry the legacy forward after Wajid's death. There was a phase when even I felt that it was all over. I was confused and scared about the future."
Going further in his interview, Sajid Khan opened up about the way he had motivated himself and the first thing he thought of achieving to start his own journey after the demise of his brother, Wajid Khan. He said, "However, I realised that I couldn't afford to slip as we had achieved success after a lot of hard work. The first step was to regain Salman bhai's confidence, as we have had a long association with him." When Sajid was asked if he feels the presence of Wajid while doing his work, the emotional songwriter answered that he feels Wajid's presence all the time and added, "I was apprehensive about my capabilities, but I feel Wajid's presence all the time. He has made me more powerful than I ever was. Now, I am alone and lethal. I have become more passionate about my work."

At the end of his conversation, Sajid Khan stated that in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, he had penned and sung the title track of the film, and it is for the first time in his career he has done that. The composer thinks that God has given him this gift of writing and singing after taking Wajid away from him and his family. Sajid said, "I have composed two songs, out of which I've sung and penned one, the title track in this movie. Writing has come to me as a gift from God after he took Wajid away." The delighted composer also added that he was always a standby, when his brother was alive. But now, Wajid has given him the power to take their legacy forward. He added, "Salman bhai was so impressed with my singing that he has given me a song in his other film, Antim. I never thought that I could sing as I never liked my voice. I was always a standby, but my brother has given me the power to take the legacy ahead."
