Radhika Apte talked about her pregnancy and also shared maternity photoshoot pictures, wherein she was flaunting her bare baby bump.
Radhika Apte made a huge name for herself with her back-to-back jaw-dropping work on OTT platforms. She proved that with hard work, you can make it big in the entertainment world. While Radhika's professional life has been inspiring, her personal life is hidden from the world. She didn't post much about her life on social media until she became a mom. Yes, Radhika Apte, who is married to Benedict Taylor, gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, earlier in December 2024.
Recently, Radhika Apte gave an interview with the Vogue. She also shared her maternity photoshoot with the magazine, and revealed that the photos were shot just a week before giving birth. In the first photo, we can see Radhika flaunting her bare baby bump in a sheer brown-hued gown. She opted for no makeup and hair gelled at the back.
In the next picture, Radhika was seen flaunting her baby bump in a golden net dress. The photo was a monochrome one, and it showed the actress' beautiful transformation from a woman to a mom about to give birth to her child. The next photo was another marvel as Radhika donned a flimsy high-neck dress with a huge cut-out at the baby bump.
Radhika Apte revealed that she never wanted to make it public. She revealed that her pregnancy wasn't an accident, but they were not even trying to start a family. So, when they got to know about the news, it came as a shock. Radhika said:
"I don’t want to make it public, but let’s just say it’s funny how it happened—it wasn’t an accident, but we also weren’t trying. And it still came as a shock."
Further in the interaction, Radhika Apte talked about the photoshoot and shared that she did it just a week before giving birth. Radhika confessed she struggled to embrace the way she looked at that time. She had never seen herself put on so much weight. Recalling her struggles, Radhika shared:
"I did this photo shoot a week before giving birth. Truth is, I struggled to embrace how I looked at the time. I had never seen myself put on so much weight. My body was swollen, I had shooting pains in my pelvis, and the lack of sleep had skewed my perspective on everything. Now, not even two weeks into motherhood, my body looks different again."
Radhika further shared that she now looks at her maternity photohsoot with kinder eyes and she can finally see the beauty in all these changes. She is going to cherish these photos forever. Radhika also talked about how the tough part of pregnancy is not spoken about. She said:
"Most women I know have had tough pregnancies, and honestly, it’s like menopause or your period—those hormones are no joke. But while we openly talk about how awful periods and menopause are, pregnancy gets this whole glow treatment. Sure, giving birth is amazing, but no one talks about the tough parts, and I find that absurd."
Radhika Apte is curretly nesting and planning to resume work in February 2024.
