Once, reports went viral stating that the Pakistani singer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, tied the knot for the second time with a model named Falak right after he divorced his first wife.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is undoubtedly one of the acclaimed singers of contemporary times. The 49-year-old has enchanted the hearts of millions of fans across the world with his soulful voice. Khan started his journey in the world of music alongside the legendary Qawwali singer and his uncle, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, when he was pretty young. Belonging to a family of Qawwals and classical singers, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was initially an integral part of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's popular Qawwali group.
He debuted in the Indian entertainment industry in 2003 and, since then, has become one of the favourite singers of the majority of Indians. O Re Piya, Zaroori Tha, Rishte Naate, Ajj Din Chadheya, Aafreen, and Bol Na Halke Halke, are some of his popular songs. Apart from his professional front, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, too, never goes unnoticed. He got married to Nida Rahat in 2001, and the couple was blessed with three children, Shazmaan Khan, Maheen Khan and Fliza Khan. However, previously there were reports which suggested that the singer got married to an Indian model.

Around 2013, several media outlets reported that the Pakistani singer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, secretly got married to his girlfriend, Falak. The same reports also speculated that the singer divorced his first wife, Nida, in order to tie the knot with Falak. The news went rife in the media after one of Khan’s friends, who was an RJ in Pakistan, claimed that the singer got hitched in an intimate ceremony. However, later, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan cleared the air around all these media reports.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan slammed such derogatory media reports and mentioned that he did not divorce his wife of 12 years, Nida. As per a report by Times of India, the singer mentioned back then that he had no model girlfriend, neither did he know anyone by the name Falak, and these were attempts to tarnish his reputed image. He said:
“I have no model girlfriend. I don't even know who this Falak is. I have never met her in my life. I don't think anybody can destroy me. I love my work too much. But somebody definitely wants to pull me down.”

In the same interview, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan disclosed that he came forward to clear the air around such demeaning rumours for the sake of his three children. He further added that he had a love marriage with Nida, whom he married in 2001, and even after 12 years, his love for his ladylove remains the same. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said:
"I am talking to you simply because of my three kids. I wonder what they must be going through after reading all this. Thankfully, my wife understands that such rumours are part and parcel of any celebrity's life. I am not only disturbed but angry too. I married Nida in 2001. Ours was a love marriage. Even after 12 years, I love her too much to marry someone else."
On January 27, 2024, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan got embroiled in another controversy when a video of the singer beating his house help with a slipper went viral. The same video was shared by the Pakistani media outlet, Samaa TV. In the video, the singer was reportedly seen asking for a bottle of liquor from his servants, and then he started beating him in front of other people. After the video went viral and people started calling out Khan, he shared a clarification on the same. He said that the bottle he was asking for contained holy water, which he got from a religious cleric. However, netizens did not buy his excuse to beat someone so mercilessly and slammed him for his unruly behaviour towards his household.
