Rahul Dravid Argues With Auto Driver In Bengaluru Post Accident, Netizens Say 'Fighting So Politely'

Rahul Dravid was seen arguing with a goods auto driver in Bengaluru after his car was hit by that person's auto in a viral video. However, his cool demeanour once again won hearts.

Rahul Dravid is among the most popular cricketers on the Indian cricket team. He is a former captain and an exceptional batsman credited for shaping Indian cricket as a player and the former coach of the Indian cricket team. The former cricketer is highly respected in India and across the border for his calm demeanour, earning him the title of 'The Wall' of the Indian cricket team. In a recent viral video, Rahul was seen engaging in a rare argument with a goods auto driver in Bengaluru after a minor accident in his car. Still, yet again, his calm attitude won hearts.

Rahul Dravid's car gets hit by a goods auto driver in Bengaluru 

Rahul Dravid was born in Madhya Pradesh but raised in the streets of Bengaluru. Recently, the former cricketer has been staying in his hometown before beginning his stint with the IPL team, Rajasthan Royals. However, in a video from February 4, 2025 video showed his car being hit from behind when a goods auto rammed into it. As per IANS, the incident occurred at Cunningham Road, near M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. According to the witness, the driver suddenly applied brakes, and Rahul couldn't do anything, which led to a small collision.

Since the intensity of the collision wasn't much, no one was injured, and there was no severe damage except a little damage to the former cricketer's car. But, the video went viral and drew attention because Rahul Dravid, known for his calm demeanour, was seen arguing with the goods auto driver. In the video, the driver and Rahul speak in Kannada, where he admitted his mistake but suggested that the former head coach could have done more to prevent the collision. More details about the incident are yet to be confirmed.

Netizens admire Rahul Dravid's calm demeanor amid frustration 

When the video went viral, netizens were surprised that Rahul Dravid argued politely despite frustration. Some were even shocked that the people around him didn't recognise or gather around him. One netizen wrote, "He is even fighting so politely." Another netizen penned, "He is so cool, calm, composed and dignified. A true gentleman." A user poked fun and mentioned, "Auto driver tried to break the wall. That's impossible."

Rahul Dravid began playing cricket at 12 and represented his state before making his Ranji Trophy debut in 1991, soon making his way to the Indian side. He became popular for his exceptional batting abilities and even led the side in the 2003 World Cup, but the team couldn't win. In his international career he scored a total of 24, 177 international runs and announced retirement in March 2012. Rahul Dravid later became the head coach of the Indian cricket team in 2021 and guided the Indian cricket team to a T20 World Cup victory in 2024 before stepping down from his role.
