This world and especially, the world of glitter and glamour is a strange place. Who finds love in whom or where, is a difficult task. While some people find love in one go and decide to spend the rest of the life with them, some need two or more attempts to find their soul mate and looks like Cupid has finally shot love arrows at the very controversial, Rahul Mahajan. After having married twice, Rahul has finally found his ‘khyalon ki mallika’! Son of former union cabinet minister Pramod Mahajan, Rahul has tied the knot with his 25-year-old model-girlfriend, Natalya Ilina, who hails from Kazakhstan. The couple got married in a hush-hush wedding ceremony at a temple in Malabir Hills, Mumbai. Checkout a picture from Rahul and Natalya’s which is spreading like wildfire in the internet.
In an interview with The Times of India, Rahul shared about his private wedding, “I wanted to keep the marriage low-key. In fact, I didn’t want to talk about it for at least one year, as this is my third marriage and I don’t want people to start gossiping again. I was planning to inform everyone about it on my first wedding anniversary, but clearly, that did not happen.” Speaking about his now Mrs Mahajan, Rahul shared with Mumbai Mirror, “I've known Natalya for a year and a half, even though we got close recently. She wants to start her own business, but I'll go with whatever she has decided to do. Family life and peace of mind is important.”
For the uninitiated, this is Rahul’s third marriage. He was earlier married to a pilot, Shweta Singh and Dimpy Ganguly, whom he had himself selected in his swayamvar conducted by the NDTV Imagine channel. Talking about his previously failed marriages, Rahul shared, “My previous two marriages happened in a hurry. There was no time to think and though both Shweta and Dimpy are wonderful individuals, we were not compatible. Over the last few years, I realised that I don’t want to be in a relationship for the sake of it. I don’t want to be with someone where there is no way forward. With Natalya, I discovered true companionship and also, there’s no room for long arguments or differences between us." Rahul Mahajan was a part of Bigg Boss 2. Famous for his controversial statements, Rahul had turned a playboy inside the Bigg Boss house as well and was seen openly flirting and expressing his love for Monica Bedi and splashing in the pool with Paayal Rohatgi. In a throwback interview, Monica described Rahul in the most fun manner. She had then stated, “Rahul has a 'bacha' (child) in him, he is very patient and doesn't get irritated quickly. I really like these qualities about him and respect his feelings for me. He is slightly mad, but not bad.”
However, Rahul’s most controversial relationship was with his second wife, Dimpy Ganguly, who had filed an FIR against him, accusing him of domestic violence. Sharing a horrifying incident, Dimpy had stated, “Rahul beat me up early on Thursday morning after waking me up to know the contents of a message that had beeped on my phone. When I asked him to go back to sleep, he flew into a rage and began hitting me. He punched, kicked and dragged me by hair.” Dimpy is now a happily married lady and has a daughter, Reanna Roy.
When Dimpy was in a happy space with boyfriend-turned hubby, Rohit Roy and was about to get married, she had shared that she would not mind inviting her ex-hubby, Rahul! She had stated, “I never thought about that, but now that you ask, why not? I believe in appreciating good things in a person and relationship. We were two different people trying too hard to make the marriage work, but it fell apart. Neither of us was at fault.” (Must Read: Parineeti Chopra Is Trying Hard To Persuade Nick Jonas About Something Related To Priyanka Chopra)
