It's been five years, since the demise of television actress, Pratyusha Banerjee. However, her name has resurfaced after Vikas Gupta revealed that he had dated Pratyusha Banerjee. This statement didn't go well with the late actress, Pratyusha Banerjee's boyfriend, Rahul Raj Singh, and he uncovered the real truth about the same.

For the uninitiated, Pratyusha Banerjee had catapulted to fame after playing the role of 'Anandi' in the hit television serial, Balika Vadhu. On April 1, 2016, Pratyusha was found dead in her home in Mumbai. It was reported that the actress had died by suicide.
After Pratyusha's name again made headlines and was linked to Vikas Gupta, her beau, Rahul Raj Singh shared his side of the story. In an interview with The Times of India, Rahul revealed that Pratyusha was always open about her relationship and had never hidden anything. Rahul also shared that Vikas is using a person's name who is not alive to share her story.
During the same interview, Rahul Raj Singh also revealed that Pratyusha had told him when they were together that Vikas had proposed to her but she had declined it, as she was aware of his sexuality. He also revealed that Pratyusha had told him that after this Vikas had scrapped a project which he had planned for her.

Rahul also accused Vikas of using Pratyusha's name to get the limelight. He said, "Pratyusha never dated Vikas, so the question of them parting ways doesn’t arise. In fact, they weren’t even on talking terms after a point. He shouldn’t cook up stories for publicity. Pratyusha would have slapped him had she been alive."
Rahul further stated that he didn't like how Vikas had dragged his name while speaking to the media. He said, "I don’t think he has anything else to talk about other than me eating chips at the hospital (when Pratyusha had died by suicide). I find it defamatory and if this doesn’t stop, I will have to legal action against him. All I want to say is that stop using Pratyusha’s name to be in the limelight."
