'LAC - Live The Battle' actor, Rahul Roy has returned home after being discharged from the hospital, and his emotional brother-in-law has given some major details about his treatment.
Bollywood actor, Rahul Roy is widely recognised for his romantic film, Aashiqui that had released in the year 1990 and had made him everyone's favourite. Last year, the actor was shooting for his upcoming film, LAC - Live The Battle, when he had suffered a brain stroke while filming in the freezing conditions of Kargil. Rahul Roy was admitted straight to the hospital and after undergoing several tests, the doctors have revealed that the actor had suffered from motor aphasia due to brain stroke. For the uninitiated, motor aphasia is a condition when a person cannot speak as he/she cannot do the muscular movements to produce speech. The news had saddened and shocked the entire film fraternity and his million fans, who had started praying for his speedy recovery. The actor was admitted at the Wockhardt Hospitals in Mumbai and had started showing signs of improvement after some weeks. Now, after almost 45 days in the hospital, Rahul Roy has been discharged from the hospital. According to a report in ETimes, it has been revealed that Aashiqui fame, Rahul Roy has been discharged from the hospital after doctors have seen good signs of recovery in his health and have returned home after 45 turbulent days. The news has delighted his million fans, friends, and family members. Confirming the reports, it was Rahul's brother-in-law, Romeer Sen, who talked about his health and revealed that both his physio and speech therapies would continue for a couple of months and overall he'll take almost 6-7 months in order to recover from this fully. He said, "He is delighted to be back home. His physio and speech therapy will continue. It will take some time, but he should be fine in 6-7 months."
Last year on December 25, 2020, Rahul Roy had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared a glimpse of him celebrating Christmas in the hospital with his mother, brother, sister, and brother-in-law. The actor had looked adorable as he had worn a Santa Claus cap and had shared a beautiful collage. Along with the picture, the actor had penned a beautiful note wishing his fans and friends a Merry Christmas and had revealed the wish he had asked from Santa. His note could be read as "Merry Christmas to all my fans. Becoming a Santa from the hospital, along with my Mom, Brother Rohit, sister @priyankaroy_pia and brother in law @romeersen My wish for this year from Santa would be that I recover completely and get back to shoot soon, and the world gets back to normal too. For the uninitiated, Rahul Roy had suffered from brain stroke and his upcoming movie's producer, Nivedita Basu had revealed the extreme conditions in which they were shooting at Kargil that had played a critical role in his brain stroke. She had said, "Rahul has been a close friend of the director, and he was the first one on the project. Kargil had extreme weather conditions, and they had gone up to -12°C and -13°C, so it was just a matter of time when someone would have succumbed to the cold, and I think that's exactly what happened with Rahul. His one day of the shoot was still left, but when we got to know about him, we told Nitin that we need to get him out."
