'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah...' Fame, Raj Anadkat AKA 'Tappu' To Quit The Show Because Of Munmun Dutta?

According to various media reports, Raj Anadkat a.k.a. 'Tappu' will soon quit the show, 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'. Details inside.

One of the most successful shows in the history of Indian television, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been in the news for one reason or the other. First, it was the exit of its much-loved character, 'Babitaji', played by actress, Munmun Dutta, and now, reports are rife that another popular face of the show, Raj Anadkat, who plays the role of 'Tappu' is quitting the show. Moreover, there are speculations that Raj might be leaving the show because of Munmun Dutta.

For a few days, the media galleries are churning the reports of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame, Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat’s dating. According to a report in ETimes, Munmun and Raj were said to be in a relationship for a long time, enough that their families were involved. The alleged couple was trolled by a section of society for their age gap of nine years, whereas others had turned social media into a meme fest.

As per a recent report in Koimoi, Raj Anadkat AKA 'Tappu' might soon bid adieu to the show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Even though after so many years, the show continues to enjoy the top position on the TRP charts, looks like Raj has his own reasons to quit the show. A source revealed that Raj Anadkat's journey on the show, TMKOC had been bittersweet. He was quoted as saying:

"The journey has been bittersweet with Raj. There have been multiple times that the team has tried to make amends with him but things aren't working out anymore. Neither is he willing to stick for too long nor the cast and crew is keen on asking him to stay."

There is no confirmation about the fact that Raj has formally put down his papers or not. However, according to another report by ETimes TV, the producer of the show, Asit Kumar Modi reacted to the news about Raj leaving the show. He quipped:

“Pata nahi mujhe kuch. Nahi, mujhe nahi pata hai.”

Meanwhile, earlier, this year, there were reports that he and his co-star Munmun Dutta aka 'Babita ji' are dating. Raj Anadkat had reacted to it, bashing media portals and netizens appropriately for their insensitive reporting and remarks. On October 13, 2021, taking to his IG handle, Raj Anadkat had issued a statement, talking about the false news of his relationship with his co-actor, Munmun Dutta. Stating that he was facing repercussions due to the false stories running in the media, Raj had written:

“To everyone, who has been constantly writing about me, think of the repercussions that can happen in my life because of your ‘cooked up’ (false) stories and that too about my life without my consent. All the creative people out there please channelise your creativity somewhere else it will helpful to you. May God bless them with good sense.”

On September 12, 2021, Munmun Dutta had reacted to her dating reports with Raj on her Instagram handle. Addressing all the fake rumours, she had slammed the trollers and media for spreading lies. She had written in her note:

"To the general public, I had far better expectations from you. But the FILTH that you have showered in the comment section, even from the so-called 'LITERATE' ones, proves how regressive a society we are."

Munmun's note could be further read as "Women are constantly AGE SHAMED, SLUT SHAMED, MOM SHAMED, at the cost of YOUR humour. Whether YOUR humour drives someone to the edge of a mental breakdown or not, is NEVER your concern. 13 years of entertaining people and it didn't take 13 minutes for anyone of you to RIP MY DIGNITY APART. So next time someone is clinically depressed or driven to take their own lives, pause and think whether it was YOUR WORDS that drove that person to the edge or not."

However, Raj Anadkat has not given any confirmation about the same.
