Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt arrived in style for their grandfather, Raj Kapoor's 100th birth anniversary, and their look is winning hearts.
Raj Kapoor's legacy is beautifully being carried forward by their grandchildren, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor. The family takes immense pride in the work Raj Kapoor contributed to Indian cinema and the roles he portrayed on screen. On December 13, 2024, the family hosted a film event to celebrate his 100th birth anniversary.
For the Raj Kapoor's 100th birth anniversary festival, Alia radiated the Kapoor bahu goals. She looked gorgeous in a cream-toned silk saree with pastel flowers over it. Alia styled her look with a half-sleeved, deep-neck blouse. She ditched heavy jewellery and complimented her saree with a dainty pearl choker.
Alia kept her makeup minimal with rosy pink cheeks, soft eyes, defined brows and a lot of highlighter that added a radiant touch to her overall look. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor was dressed up in a black velvets sherwani with white pants. He nailed his grandfather's moustache style.
We also spotted Neetu Kapoor, who was dressed up in a grey-toned kurta with tulip pants. On the other hand, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who is Bharat Sahni, was dressed up in a cream-toned kurta with contrasting churidaar. It was a perfect ode to the '70s and '80s time period. The entire family happily posed with each other.
Recently, Alia, along with the entire Kapoor family, landed in Delhi. The Kapoors were here to invite PM, Narendra Modi to mark their presence for Raj Kapoor's 100th birthday celebration. In a clip that has been going viral, we can see Alia cracking a joke with Karisma Kapoor. Later, we also spotted the entire Kapoor family conversing with the honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who happily listened to them and cracked jokes.
While talking to Narendra Modi, Ranbir Kapoor shared a hilarious anecdote. He revealed that when he was in Russia, he came across a taxi driver who was listening to Raj Kapoor's songs from his films. He asked Ranbir if he was Indian as he was singing his song. To which, the actor told the taxi driver that he was Raj Kapoor's grandson, so he would often get free taxi rides. He said:
"Maine unse kaha main unka (Raj Kapoor) pota (grandson) hu toh hamesh mujhe free taxi ride mil jaate hai."
What do you think about Ranbir and Alia's look for Raj Kapoor's 100th birth anniversary celebration?
