Bollywood actress, Mandira Bedi is going through a tough time as her husband, Raj Kaushal, had taken his last breath on June 30, 2021. At the mere age of 49, Raj Kaushal had left for the heavenly abode, and his wife, Mandira Bedi and children, Vir Kaushal and Tara Kaushal, are devasted. Recently, the couple's friend and music director, Sulaiman Merchant revealed the details of Raj's last moments.

For those who don't know, Mandira Bedi had performed the last rites of her husband, Raj Kaushal, while sending a strong message of gender equality. The filmmaker's last rites were held at the Dadar Shivaji Park crematorium on Wednesday morning.
Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, music director Sulaiman Merchant opened up on the last moments of Raj. He shared that Raj was feeling uneasy since Tuesday evening. He had taken an antacid tablet, but it was around 4 am, when he had felt more uneasy. And Raj had told his wife, Mandira, that he was getting a heartache.

Sulaiman further narrated the whole incident and shared, "Mandira acted swiftly and called Ashish Chaudhary, who rushed to their place. Mandira and Ashish put him in the car, but he was losing consciousness. I think they drove off, taking him to the Lilavati Hospital, if I'm not wrong. But in the next 5-10 minutes, they realised that he had no pulse. Before they reached the doctor, it was too late."
Sulaiman also revealed that Raj Kaushal had suffered heartache when he was 30-32. However, he used to take care of him after that and was keeping fine. Sulaiman also talked about his friendship with Raj and said, "I have lost a friend of 25 years. I knew him since the days he was assisting Mukul Anand on Dus."
Last year, on the occasion of Dussehra, Mandira Bedi and her hubby, Rraj Kaushal had made announced the arrival of their daughter, Tara in their lives. The couple had shared a family picture and had introduced their daughter, Tara to the world. Alongside the picture, Raj had written, "On this festive occasion of Dussehra we would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family Tara Bedi Kaushal. So finally, the family is complete #humdohamaredo."
