In a recent interview with News18, Raj Kundra was asked about Shilpa Shetty's reaction to his decision to do a film. To this, Raj said that at first, his wifey was a bit dicey about the idea of him making a film on his jail stay. The businessman-turned-actor shared that when he told Shilpa about the same, a flying chappal came at his face; however, later, when the director of Raj's biopic, Shahnawaz Ali narrated the story to Shilpa, she gave it a thought and supported it throughout.
Further in the interview, Raj, for the first time, opened up about his experience of staying in jail for 63 days. He said that he was ready to finish everything inside the jail and would probably do the same if he hadn't got Shilpa by his side. Raj shared how Shilpa means the world to him. Raj said:
"She is my Rock of Gibraltar. Had she not been there, I wouldn’t have survived inside the jail. I was ready to finish everything inside. She gave me faith and hope and said, ‘Come out, we will solve this out.’ Those 63 days were the hardest days of my life and I hope nobody goes through what I did. I would like to thank Shilpa for everything. She means the world to me. And like it’s said, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
Congratulations, Raj Kundra!
