Recently, an old interview of Sonam Kapoor has gone viral, wherein she was seen interacting with film critic, Rajeev Masand. In the clip, Sonam was being asked the ‘Never Have I Ever’ questions. When the actress was asked, “Never have I ever read a review and wanted to punch the critic,” she mentioned that she once wanted to do so. She said:
“Of course, I have. But like, don’t they have schools for criticism, critics?”

Taking a dig at Sonam's acting career, Rajeev Masand told her that there are schools for critics just like there are so many schools for actors, but some don’t attend them. Reacting to his statement, Sonam said, “Yeah.” The film critic was heard saying:
"I'm sure they do, just like they have acting schools and so many people don't know about them."
Soon after the video was shared online, Sonam Kapoor's reaction caught everyone’s attention. Taking to the post's comment section, many netizens recated to the actress' failure to understand the sarcasm. One person commented, “I miss her she was so entertaining.” Another added, “Didn’t get the sarcasm lol.” Meanwhile, a third netizen reacted, “That was a sick comeback.. but yeahhhhh.”

Sonam Kapoor made her debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the film, Saawariya in 2007. Films like Khoobsurat, Neerja, Veere Di Wedding, and Raanjhanaa, among so many others, stand a testimony to her flourishing career. She decided to take a hiatus from films after the birth of her son, Vaayu. In an interaction with India Today, Sonam spoke about her hiatus from films and emphasised that she started working at the age of 17, and continued till 36, so her break was justified by all means. She mentioned:
“I miss cinema and the industry but at the same time, this time was very important for me to bond with my baby, and have time with my family. I started working when I was 17 and took a break when I was 36, so I think I gave enough time. I am ready to come back to work now.”
