Remember the famous character of 'Rosesh Sarabhai' from the famous comic serial, 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai', he had quit acting to become a farmer.
Television actor, Rajesh Kumar rose to fame after he portrayed the character of 'Rosesh Sarabhai', which instantly became everyone's favourite. He was a self-proclaimed 'momma's boy', and he made poetry look fun in the times when it was just considered a part of 'Hindi sahitya'. While Rajesh also played other roles on television, the role of 'Rosesh' remains everyone's favourite. Recently, Rajesh Kumar shared unheard anecdotes of his life and how he had quit acting to become a farmer.
In an interview with Rajshri Unplugged, Rajesh recalled that it was in 2017 when Rajesh decided to quit the world of showbiz to start farming. Rajesh revealed that it was a sudden shift in him as he wanted to work on his ancestral land in Bihar and start farming. He added that his father thought it was just a phase of him, but Rajesh was determined. He was quoted as saying:
"In 2017, I went back to my village from where I started — Gaya. Aur waha pr humari zameen thi, and I told him I wanted to become a farmer. His father thought 2-3 mahine ka bhoot hai, but it went on. And I totally gave in, and his family supported."

Rajesh Kumar further revealed that he had gone bankrupt during the farming phase. When he planted 15,000 trees on 20 acres of land, they were washed out because of a flood, and the pandemic came, and he was stuck financially. He said:
"From natural calamities like flood to the pandemic, I have seen everything in my experience of farming. There was a downward phase in my life, where I literally went bankrupt. I didn't have anything in my pocket. Loan bhi chal raha tha, toh kafi dark phase aaya life mein."
Rajesh further added that he learned from it that you have to stop thinking about yourself and start thinking of others, and then everything works. He said:
"The day you stop thinking about yourself is the day you start thinking about others, and that’s when others start thinking about you. It’s a circle, You have to start thinking beyond yourself if you want to do something meaningful."
During the same interaction, Rajesh revealed that he was given similar kinds of roles, and he didn't find any good scripts. It was one of the reasons why he focused on farming. Currently, Rajesh Kumar is working as an actor and also managing farming.
On the work front, Rajesh Kumar was last seen in the web series Kota Factory 2 and Yeh Meri Family Season 2.
