Indian comedian, Raju Srivastava took his last breath on September 21, 2022, in the AIIMS, Delhi. His son, Ayushman bid him an emotional goodbye.
It was the most difficult day for the Srivastava family as the pillar of their family, Raju Srivastava had left for the heavenly abode. The comedian, who would leave everyone laughing out loud, has made everyone cry with his sudden demise. For the last 41 days, Raju Srivastava was in hospital after he got a cardiac arrest. Reports of his deteriorating condition kept making rounds on the internet, and on September 21, 2022, the comedian left the world.
For those who don't know, Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack on August 10, 2022. The comedian was rushed to Delhi's AIIMS hospital. Talking about Raju Srivastava's film journey, he started his career by taking small roles in famous films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Bombay to Goa and Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya. However, Raju shot to fame when he had participated in the reality show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Everyone instantly fell in love with his punch lines. People love him for his portrayal of the comic character, 'Gajodhar bhaiya'.

On September 22, 2022, the final rites of Raju Srivastava were performed by his son, Ayushman Srivastava at Nigam Bodh Ghat. His son, Ayushman has stayed away from the media, bid his last goodbye and looked inconsolable. Raju Srivastava's close friends, Sunil Pal, Ahsaan Qureshi and Surendra Sharma also paid their last respects.
Raju Srivastava was hailed as one of the most high-profile and experienced comedians in the nation. He is survived by his wife, Shikha Srivastava and two children. According to hospital sources, Raju Srivastava was declared dead at 10:20 a.m. on September 21, 2022. In a brief interaction with The Times Of India, Raju's wife, Shikha shared that he had fought really hard. The star wife also revealed that she was hoping and praying that he would come out of it, but that didn't happen. She called Raju a true fighter. She was quoted as saying: "I am not able to talk right now. What can I share or say now? He fought very hard, I was really hoping and praying to see him come out of this. But, that has not happened. All I can say is that he was a true fighter."
