Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani are one of the most popular celebrity couples in Bollywood. When their marriage pictures, with pastel aesthetics set against the sunset of Goa, went viral online, we couldn't take our eyes off their chemistry. The couple, who once adorably addressed themselves as ‘clones of each other,’ made their relationship official in October 2021, by sharing a picture on Instagram. However, it wasn't until three months before their wedding that Jackky proposed Rakul Preet Singh for the wedding.
Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani made their relationship official a year before they got married. Also, their respective families were happy about their relationship and the couple began planning for their wedding. Despite the preparations, Jackky didn’t pop the most important question to his ladylove, i.e proposing for marriage. In an interview with Zoom, the Doctor G actress revealed that she threatened him that she wouldn't walk down the aisle until Jackky popped the question. So, to fulfill her wish Jackky came up with a surprise plan.

Rakul further shared that she knew they were getting married but wanted that special moment for life. She wanted a proposal story to remember. She recalled the incident and was quoted as saying:
“I kept telling him; You have to propose. No matter how you do it, two-three months are left, now you figure it out.”

Rakul Preet Singh said Jackky Bhagnani finally popped the question on their bachelor trip. For the unversed, the couple had a combined bachelor trip in December 2023. He took Rakul by surprise on the journey and romantically proposed to her. She said that his BFF and actress, Bhumi Pednekar, made the necessary arrangements and played a big role in his proposal. Now, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh share a special friendship too.
Rakul Preet Singh recently gave a few versatile performances with Chhatriwali, Runway 34, and Loukyam. The actress has been working on her upcoming films, including Indian 2, De De Pyaar De 2, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, and Khiladi 1080.
