Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani celebrated their first Ganpati Chaturthi this year. However, netizens are not happy with Rakul for disrespecting Bappa for addressing him casually.
Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani are among Bollywood's newly married couples. The duo tied the knot on February 21, 2024, in a dreamy wedding ceremony in Goa. Ahead of their wedding, Rakul and Jackky had been in a relationship for three years. This year, the couple celebrated Ganpati Chaturthi together for the first time, and sharing her excitement about the same, Rakul had a candid conversation with the paps.
Rakul Preet and her husband, Jackky Bhagnani, were seen distributing sweets to the paps on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Talking to them, Rakul added that this is her first time celebrating Ganpati Chaturthi with Jaccky and even otherwise. During this conversation, Rakul said:
"Meine isse pehle kabhi Ganpati nahi rakha hai. Meine sikha hai Ganpati kaise Ganpati rakha jata hai."
This did not sit right with netizens, and people started to bash the actress for disrespecting God Ganesha. Schooling her a user wrote, "Rakha ni jata Stupid lady.. Rakhe Jate h Bol... Yeh Kya ni Sikhaya kise ne Tujhe." While another penned, "Ganpati rakha jata hai, virajman kiye jaye hai."
Rakul added that Jacky Bhagnani's mother taught her a lot this year on how to serve lord Ganesha, and the way she addressed her mother-in-law was not liked by the netizens. A user highlighted, "Jacky ki mom aapki bhi kuch lagti hai madam ji ...mom ya sasu ma bol skti." While another user commented, "Iski mom, apki saas ya mom bhi bol skti th dii."

In a joint interview with Hindustan Times, Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani were asked if anything changed between the two after getting the ‘married’ tag. To this, the actress immediately answered:
"I am not feeling one percent change."
Further, in the same conversation, Rakul explained how there is a sense of happiness after her wedding to Jackky. She remarked that they had discussed certain things during their dating period, which made their relationship stronger. The new wife added that she don't need to call Jackky several times a day as she gets bored. Instead, they are each other's biggest strength. She stated:
"When we were first dating- three years back- we had a conversation about this then only. I am happy, you are happy, neither of us are trying to fill any void. We are complete as individuals, together we are just happier. If you really follow this... I don’t have to call him 15 times a day ‘I am getting bored, how are you’ I have to figure what I have to do in my life, same for him. When we are together, we leave work behind. The biggest strength we share is we are best friends, there’s nothing we can’t share with each other."
