Filmmaker, Ram Gopal Varma recalls an unbelievable incident, when choreographer, Shiamak Davar claimed to speak with the former's dead father.
Eminent filmmaker, Ram Gopal Varma is credited for creating masterpieces of films in the supernatural and horror genres, as well as thrillers. Some of his iconic films include Darna Zaroori Hai, Rangeela, Satya, Kaun and several others. Moreover, in many of his interviews, Ram has claimed to be an atheist. Recently, the filmmaker revealed a shocking incident, that completely changed his mind.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Ram Gopal Varma talked about a peculiar conversation he had with eminent choreographer, Shiamak Davar, during a flight. The filmmaker narrated how back then, he had just lost his father, and added how Shiamak startled him by asking him about the same. Ram explained that it was impossible for the choreographer to know about this incident in his personal life. In his words:
“The plane took off, and then, in day light, mid-air, he suddenly asked me, ‘Your father passed away?’ It was an usual question to ask, but it was true. Fifteen days before this encounter, my father had passed away. So I told him yes.”

Moving forth in the revelation, Ram Gopal Varma then revealed how out of nowhere, Shiamak stunned him by saying that his dead father was with them in the same flight. The remark certainly astonished him, and the filmmaker was in disbelieve that a person like Shiamak would say something like that. He added:
“Now, he was on the window seat, and I was in the aisle. He then looked at me for a while, and said, ‘He is here with us.’ I was completely taken aback! And he is a choreographer, I expect such questions from a guy who does some weird…”
Speaking along the same lines, Ram Gopal Varma narrated how Shiamak claimed to communicate with the former’s father, and shared how the latter was concerned about his son even after his death. Adding how such conversations left him disturbed, Ram said:
“‘He says he also never believed in it and is very concerned about you.’ How does he know my father died? That he was an atheist? I had a mixture of emotions, helplessness, anger, fear. I was very disturbed by that conversation. I suddenly got up and went back to my seat. And I started thinking, ‘How can he know?’”

Towards the conclusion of his revelation, Ram Gopal Varma added that till to date, he hasn’t been able to wrap his head around what Shiamak Davar told him on their few hours of flight together. He added that there might be possibilities that the choreographer had lost his own father at that time, or he might have been an atheist himself. Moreover, Ram Gopal Varma shared that he even feels that the choreographer just pulled a prank on him.
